This is an amazing bit of kit! Bought as a last minute addition for my wedding buffet, so glad I did. Compact and effective. Easy to clean, easy to store. Hot dishes were heated to temperature in the oven ahead of time and this gadget kept them at temperature for the duration of our celebration.

This kept the food hot but it also burned the finish off my dining table so I do not recommend! The legs on the mat are not enough to keep the heat away from underneath and even with a thick tablecloth, the damage to my table is significant. Use many layers of protection until this mat if you plan to use it on a surface you care about!!

I absolutely LOVED this mat until it died 5 months after the purchase. I have emailed the company as noted in the booklet that came with the item and have not heard back yet. I will update this review when my problem is resolved so you all will know how to proceed. On the plus, the mat is a great size and worked very well. It was purchased for Thanksgiving. I hope the company honors its one year warranty! UPDATE: I heard from the company and they are sending me a new mat without our having to return the old one. I will add stars if and when the mat arrives! UPDATE: I received a brand new mat yesterday as the company promised! It also came quicker than I anticipated. I am giving the mat 4 stars because the first one died after 5 months, and the company 5 stars because of their customer service!

This was such a great purchase. It's so much better than using a chafing dish with an open flame Sterno can. I could probably sell these to people when I break it out at parties. The heat output is impressive and keeps food warm without a flame. Unroll it, plug it in, set the temp and place a metal food tray or a pot on top.

The heating mat works great! I ordered two and will be ordering another. You can get 3 large casserole dishes on each one. It also can be used to warm platters before you put food on them.

It's very practical! The insulation and heating effects are excellent, so I can have warm meals when I get home and no longer have to worry about them getting cold! I really like it!
