Never worked properly

Purchased new to do a complete overhaulBought other OE parts but couldn’t get the shift mechanism in time so went with this one.My wife would say that the clothes were still dirtyCome to find out that it works in the spin cycle but not in the wash.I bypassed the lock to see that it makes noise but the drum doesn’t move.I’m replacing it with a genuine GE part.

Perfect part

Perfect part for my Hotpoint washing machine that was making a grinding noise during wash cycle. I am a 62 year old woman and with the help of a YouTube video I was able to replace it myself and now my washer is good as new!

Didn’t last

Installation was very easy thanks to YouTube, but unfortunately the piece didn’t last long. After replacing, new part lasted about a week before it started having the same issue as before. Just spend the extra $25 and get the actual GE part.

Bad part

Item had obviously been opened and installed before. Had scratch marks around screw holes where it was installed. It failed the ohm test, but I installed it anyway. Whas hoping since it wasn't OEM had different specs. It's a bad part and doesn't work at all.
