It works.
I was skeptical given this is not the "official" PC adapter from Sony and a limited number of product reviews were available. But once I got this adapter working everything was fine. I had to run the PSVR2 driver install executable manually, as simply installing the PSVR2 app in Steam didn't work initially. I had to manually reboot after the driver installation too, even though I wasn't prompted to do so. So the initial setup had some challenges. I have Windows 11 and an Nvidia RTX 4060. The good news is that once the installation finished, everything has been working well. Games like Half Life: Alyx work well and look quite good on the headset. Last notes: - As noted by others, the adapter doesn't come with a DisplayPort (SP) cable so you'll need a SP cable on hand. - I have some mild connectivity issues with the PSVR2 controllers at times, but that's due to bluetooth interference in my house and not the Koowod adapter. Just note that the Koowod adapter doesn't have a Bluetooth receiver within.

Only worked a few times
So when I first got this I was able to get it working for about the first 5 or 6 times I used it on my PC. After that the PSVR2 headset would show that it wasn't connected, even though it had power. After going through a lot of trouble shooting, and reinstalling steam VR and the PSVR2 steam app, it suddenly worked again. However, it only worked about 3 more times. Each time the headset tells me to remove my headset and look at my monitor and the app, but the app says it is connected. None of this happens on my PS5, only with this adapter. So now I will have to buy the official one, which seems to be instock again. I would stay away from this device.

Awesome
So...you bought a PSVR2 and you are itching to use it only to find out that Playstation has a crappy selection of VR games. THIS is the adapter to your dreams! I have the PSVR2 (obviously) and this is the gateway to Steam VR. They have hundreds...no, THOUSANDS of games and they range in price. This item works flawlessly. Buy this and enjoy!

Worked for me
The adapter worked fine for me after going through the setup. I did install SteamVR alongside the PSVR app and was able to get it working. I can see how some might not get this right away though and get frustrated with it. It does also seem like not all cables will work well with it due to fit issues. Once I got all that squared away it works fine and the PSVR2 makes a pretty good PCVR headset.

Solid product
Like you I have been watching the reviews to see if these aftermarket models are worth it. Installed with zero issues, works 100% as advertised. Cables fit nicely, build quality is “so so” as expected. I can easily recommend this to anyone holding out for for the real Sony one. *edit: some bluetooth connection issues, corrected by Asus BT-500.

IT WORKS
I received this and had it up and running my PSVR2 in less than 15 minutes. I built my computer recently, so it’s using Bluetooth 5.4 and my psvr2 controllers connected immediately and have not dropped connection once all day. I was skeptical after reading some of the other reviews but this adapter is working flawlessly. Just make sure you download the Steam VR app and the PlayStation VR app from steam and then run the PlayStation VR app and follow the directions and you should be good to go.

Negative reviews are true
This adapter doesn't work, computers will not be able to register it as a valid device and will give you an error code that reflects that. There are no drivers for the device that you can install to try and fix that. You WILL get stuck at the screen during set up that asks you to connect your headset to the device and that's where the issue will occur. DO NOT BUY. NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE NOT FROM THOSE WHO ARE TECHNOLOGICALLY ILLITERATE. YOU WON'T GET THIS TO WORK

Works, but quality is poor.
I had to modify the case to allow the PSVR2's USB C connection to work consistently. The cable was never able to seat fully, leading to intermittent connection issues. Once I cut away the plastic around the USB C connection on the device, the cable was able to fully seat and I have had zero issues.

As another reviewer pointed out, the USB C output from the headset doesn't sit well with the unit. You really have to press it in and be sure to not disturb it. I'm docking the same 1 point for that and and a 0.1 for the box being open inside the Amazon parcel with some condensation on it. It's winter but .. c'mon pack it better. 3.9 stars. Aside from that, I can get it working fine. ... with some literal IT worker self tech support. Some quick tips if you're having issues. Rear panel, no extension, make absolutely sure is USB 3 port Kill any and every power saving setting on your PC. Odd example from my rig is that I have MSI Center software based hardware tuning. running I started hooking up my VR setup on a 'Silent' mode and the PSVR app wouldn't detect my display port cable as 1.4 compatible. After Switching to performance mode, everything worked fine. Win 10 on Ryzen 3800XT, Radeon 6900XT, 64GB DDR4

PS VR2's headset cable DOES NOT fully seat in this device, leading to a flaky connection that is broken by a any minor jostling of the cable. This is a terrible flaw for an adapter for a VR headset, the cable for which will be getting moved constantly while in use. Otherwise, works great.
