Great device to learn ros
A very good kit. It went together easily and worked when finished. The instructions leave a bit to be desired because the text is small and the images not real clear. It took me a couple of tries to get the power cable in but after I got it set up it worked, as opposed to several other robot kits I've gotten that didn't. The online docs leave a lot to be desired. Trying to get them downloaded was painful and they aren't well put together. The Pi5 has a real problem with ros (which is mostly ros's problem). Pi5's only run Ubuntu 24 natively which requires ros jazzy. But most online instruction uses the previous version of ros, humble. So, hiwonder chose to use humble but that requires a docker container running on raspberry pi os. This adds complexity and hiwonder negeled to add a docker startup option to expose the network ports. But after adding that, the thing works wonderfully. The only other quibble is that the HDMI port on the Pi is hard to access. In normal use, you wouldn't need to but for debugging and exploring it's nice to have. In short, it's a very nice little unit and a good value for the price.

Poor quality, over priced, very slow refund
The quality of the product is very low, the instruction and customer service are very poor. I returned the product, but I still haven’t received the refund after two weeks the product was returned.
