Coffee color was actually charcoal black... returned at my cost.
I ordered the coffee color and it is black like charcoal. Zero brown tones.. Just an ashy looking black. If your coffee looks like this you wouldn't want it in your cup either. Cost me $6 to return it even tho it was prime. :( I did re-order in the dark walnut color and it was almost double the price for same size...Wonder why the "coffee" color is half price? Defective batch? Trying to get rid of it fast? Hope the Dark walnut looks like walnut. It hasn't arrived yet.I only re-ordered a different color because this product is supposed to be really good stuff for what I am trying to do. (darken wood that was pre-finished with clear urethane without stripping the old urethane)

Color accurate, easy to apply
I used this to stain some 2x12 inch maple boards being used as shelf risers inside of a cabinet. Honestly, I just bought this product because it was the cheapest all-in-one stain I could find. I was pleased with the result. The color was exactly as pictured in the Amazon listing, a dark warm walnut. I put on 4 coats and waited 2 hours in between each. It is a milky color when it’s wet but dries clear. You definitely need multiple coats to get a rich color. This product worked well for my small project. The color ended up matching the stain inside my cabinet perfectly.

I love this product!
I am a painter and have used many brands of varnish stains. Most are average in color and consistency. This is the best I have used. Covered well, dried remarkably quickly, and gave a beautiful finish to the nicks and scratches I was matching for a new look to older favoriteChairs. Would definitely recommend to all.

Nice finish, easy use and clean up.
I used it to stain the shingles on this mailbox. The finish and color is very nice. The grain is very visible with good variation to create a natural appearance.

I am using this for the interior of a dollhouse I am building. I am using it for all my wood accents like stairs, crown molding etc. This is just beautiful I would definatly recommend this product. I especially love the easy to use lid.

This came and was hard paint in the bottom. I ended up throwing it away as it was not useable. Rip off.

Super easy to use & beginner friendly
I bought this product to refinish a tabletop that was ruined by accident by my landlord's handyman...I had never done anything even remotely like this before and have no experience with woodworking, painting or staining.I picked this product because it seemed easy to use and didn't require me to buy many different products to get the job done. I don't plan to do anything like this again so buying 2~3 different products would have been expensive and wasteful.I sanded the tabletop down and with a friend's orbital sander (first with a coarse sanding paper and finished it with a fine one).I applied a coat with a new dish sponge, with the wood grain, following the instructions on the can. It was really easy to work with and I didn't have to go super fast. The stain was forgiving. If you forget a dollop somewhere you have a little bit of time to wipe it off before it turns into a dark spot. I applied really thin layers and wiped the excess with a paper towel.I did two coats and the colour darkened a little but not as much as I feared. I picked the colour (amaretto) online, so I couldn't see the can in person, but I lucked out and matched the existing stain perfectly! The stain dries really fast (even though it was quite humid and cold) and leaves a smooth satin finish. Liquids bead on the finish, so I think it'll do a good job being resistant to water damageThe first pictures are outside with full afternoon sun: tabletop before, bare wood and one coat of the stain.Closeup pictures is after two coats and in interior lighting (it looks a bit darker than in person on that picture). I think the stain matches the photo at the bottom of the can pretty well.

Chalk Finish! Rustic Look!
My first ever refinishing project! The stain worked out very well for me! Took 4 coats over each area, so I ran out before finishing the sides, lol. Will be ordering another to finish it up!Has a good, smooth finish. Mildly shiny, but not a bright reflection. Very nice 😊Highly recommended for the novice like me!

Terrible adhesion & coverage
I've used Saman products before, with generally favorable results, so I was inclined to try this for the purposes of refinishing a bathroom vanity & medicine cabinet. Disappointing is the best I can describe the results. The product can supposedly be used over raw or over previously-varnished wood. Despite my sanding the majority of the finish off the wood before using, this doesn't behave as a stain or as a varnish: it brushes off with every second stroke; where the product does manage to adhere, it acts more as paint than as a stain and covers the grain; and the finish remains essentially matte even after 2 coats.Perhaps it performs better on completely unfinished wood, but the potential of avoiding a complete stripping of my fixtures was the only reason I tried this supposed stain & varnish. It fails miserably in both regards.

Nice product that match my wall unit in color
Works on my bar table countertop (used). I decided to apply pre-conditioner because I was not sure this stain would cause blotching or not (my previous trial failed due to blotching and I had to sand it over. What a pain!). Overall I am happy with the final result. Here are the quick steps:--Sand with 220 grit paper followed by vacuum cleaning--Protect area with masking tape--Use respirator and exhausting fan for safety--Clean surface with mineral spirit paper towel until paper towel clean-- Apply Minwax pre-conditioner before stain--Use cloth rag to apply Seman stain evenly. My Bristol brush in hand are unfit either too small or unclean.-- Apply stain for 3 coats or until achieving desired color strength. Light sanding with 220 grit sand between coats.. dry overnight to allow sanding--mark up and touch area with imperfection. sanding + brush touch when needed.-- allow 48 hrs for drying time-- Dilute Polyurethane 50% with mineral spirt and apply it with a cloth rag or brush for total 3 times. light sanding with 600 sand papers between layer.--fully cured after a week

Great product
This stuff works like a dream. I used a cheap orbital sander with 200 grit on the wood before applying the product, and it worked out perfectly. Each coat makes it slightly darker, and it took about three layers of the product to get the shade I wanted. It dries remarkably quick and doesn’t give off any odours. I found foam rollers worked best over sponges or brushes, and a little bit goes a very long way. It was also very easy to clean up any stray drips.
