For the price? Perfect.
First monitor I received was obviously broken. Returned it. Amazon gratefully cross-shipped me another one and this one isn't broken. For $65 I cannot complain. At all. I calibrated the screen with my colorimeter (I don't expect anyone to do this) and after dialing in the white balance, I have to say the monitor is fantastic.Response is pretty good, given it's a VA monitor. No any smear of any note, and none of those inverted colors that were found in older VA monitors' transition from dark pixels. TLDR - it works fine for games, and even can display 100hz refresh rate! Again... for $65 - how in the world can I complain?Contrast ratio doesn't quite hit the advertised 3000:1. I measured around 1833:1 after I calibrated the screen. But it's still quite a leap above your typical IPS in this price range (which struggle to do 1000:1 contrast). It has HDMI and Displayport inputs to boot.I cannot recommend this enough if you're looking for a cheap monitor.

Second monitor potential
Very cute! Good graphics and would work as a second monitor, unless you’re used to small.

Good monitor
Despite the general consensus of not using a va monitor for gaming, that's exactly what I'm using this mp223 for. The blacks look amazing and the contrast is excellent. I find the color reproduction to be pretty decent, although I haven't made any prints of my photos to compare. This monitor does have low latency mode, along with freesync. I have my gpu set to sync at 100 Hz, and my PC maintains this with no problems. The pixel density at this size is a little over 100ppi, which is only just a little less than 1440 at 27". The monitor is crisp and clear, and my aging eyes don't notice ghosting, so I can't say whether it's there or not. I thoroughly appreciate the clarity and color rendition on this monitor, small text is crisp and easy to read. For this price range, I don't think you'll find a better value monitor if you're gaming single player on a budget. Maybe ips has some upsides, but I feel like VA tech has come a long way and still holds its own in the sub $150 range.
