Great color and feel
I like this pen a lot so far. The color is nice, and the feel in the hand is awesome. I’d recommend it if you are wanting something different than a plastic or metal pencil.

Ode to a wooden pencil
This is a different pencil. The shape is outside the box different than any other; it is almost sexy-curvy which can be seen, but it feels really good in the hand.It is hefty enough for those needing solid heft, but the wood is light enough that another might exclaim its lightness. The end cap is thought out and in balance to the whole. The clip looks to be weak in sight only, but it is sturdy. Perhaps the edges of the clip could be cleaned up, but as-is it is a very nice price point for the whole. It is one of those pencils that is enjoyed because it feels good to the touch, it handle superbly, and it is a better pencil than you thought it would be.Nice.

Great for someone who loves mechanical pencils
ok - I know that I' weird but I love mechanical pencils. I also don't really care for writing with a plastic pencil as they feel slick. Wood is my favorite material for a writing device because it is easy to hold, doesn't feel artificial and looks great. So I knew even before I ordered this pencil that I would like it.After getting the pencil - I love it. It is shaped so that it fits well in my grip. The wood is textured enough that it doesn't slide - and this is primarily because they didn't put a heavy coat of lacquer or poly on the wood.It writes well, looks great, feeds the lead evenly and smoothly. What more could I ask for??

Luxurious
Wow, I've used a lot of mechanical pencils in my day and this is my favorite of them all. Although it's not a cheap pencil, I was impressed by the quality and the beautiful aesthetic. Super comfortable to hold too. I ordered mine from a seller in Japan and I was worried when I saw that it was shipped in a soft bubble envelope. When I opened it up and saw that it had made the trip just fine, I was even more impressed by the solid build as I have owned many writing instruments that wouldn't be able to handle that type of treatment. 10/10

Very attractive, but delicate
Very attractive in appearance, but I could not get it to function. Noticed the nib was slightly bent, which I believe to be the issue. As always, Amazon has already resolved the issue and I hope the replacement will work. All told, even better looking than pictured, but I would not purchase for anyone needing a durable pencil.

Whoa, this is an amazing writing instrument! Weight is great, not too heavy, not too light. Just right! Wow, the feel is smooth and allows for long term work. I was super glad to have found this pencil! Pilot does it again!

Very, very nice pencil with one "comfort based" flaw
This is a very nice pencil in many ways. First, it doesn't have that cheap "plastic" feel. It has a good amount of weight so it feels solid in your hand. The wood look is FANTASTIC and gives the pen a very unique and beautiful look. Finally, the construction of the pen is excellent with all the pieces fitting tightly and smoothly and lines flowing smooth. In fact this would likely become my favorite pencil except for one significant "flaw" that will unfortunately probably relegate this pencil to my desk drawer.I'm a CPA so my pencil is in my hand for the better part of the day, seven days a week. So comfort is a must........Unfortunately this pencil isn't very comfortable. The wooden barrel does not gradually and smoothly taper into the silver end piece (where the lead comes out). Instead the main barrel "ends" abruptly with the silver end piece then becoming a separate, narrower barrel. This creates a "ledge", if you will, between the two sections. Unfortunately I hold my pencil between my fingers extremely low on the barrel. So, this "ledge" is exactly where my fingers hold the pencil. Instead of holding a "smooth" surface my index finger is partially on the main barrel body and the other part of the finger is on the narrower lower portion of the pencil. This causes the "edge" where the two sections to join to cut into my finger. Not good.If you tend to hold your pencil "high up" on the barrel this won't be an issue for you. But if you hold your pencil low, towards the lead exit, then you'll probably find the pencil getting pretty uncomfortable after a short period of use since you are not holding a "smooth" surface.I'll probably use this for meetings and special occasions but it won't be my every day, all day long pencil.
