Love these little machines.
These talking flashcards are amazing. They help children learn new words and are also great for children with special needs who likes word repetition. All you need to do is charge the little machine and pop the card in to hear the word.

Poor first impression but its actually a great learning tool
POSITIVES - So delivery was very good and the product itself works very well and is easy to use with, of course, parental/adult supervision. A great learning tool and the sounds are very helpful and make learning interesting. NEGATIVE - I had bought this as a present for a friend's 3 yr old however, the packaging is so poor thank goodness I didn't send this directly to them. The box is ok but plastered all over it is a label with 'Made in China' - covering the front of box. The packaging gives the impression the product is cheap (because of the white label which is just stuck on top of a yellow background), which it is not. What a pity as the sound cards themselves are great. That said, this is ok if buying for your own child but as a gift? Probably not unless you re-package it. I also notice some cards have no sound even where the animal or thing would warrant one. Of course one would not expect sounds for flowers or cutlery and some sounds are simply duplicated which is a shame. There are also American words used which is a pity as I specifically ordered for UK English. On the whole, this is a nice, interactive, learning tool. Perhaps the sellers could improve the packaging (first impressions count etc) as it really is a great gift.
