Excellent microphone, keep going Maono!!!!
The media could not be loaded. My Thoughts on the Maono PD100X MicrophoneWhen I started using the Maono PD100X, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it quickly became one of the most impressive microphones I’ve tried. It’s a solid choice for anyone into gaming, streaming, or podcasting.Audio Quality That Stands OutThe first thing I noticed was how clear and detailed my voice sounded. With its 24-bit/48kHz sampling rate and wide frequency range (40Hz-16kHz), the PD100X captured every nuance of my voice, making it sound rich and vibrant. Even with background noise from my setup—like my keyboard and PC fans—the customized cardioid capsule focused on my voice and filtered out distractions effortlessly.Noise Reduction That WorksThe double noise cancellation is a lifesaver, especially in less-than-perfect environments. Using the Maono Link software, I could adjust the noise reduction to match my needs, whether I was streaming, recording, or chatting. It’s great to have that level of control without needing additional hardware.RGB Lighting Adds PersonalityI have to admit, I love how customizable the RGB lighting is. With three modes and nine color options, it’s easy to match it to the rest of my gaming setup. Whether I wanted a bold, dynamic effect or something more subtle, it was simple to adjust. There’s even an option to turn the lights off completely, which is nice for late-night use.USB and XLR – The Best of Both WorldsWhat really sets this microphone apart for me is its dual connectivity. The USB connection is perfect when I want something quick and easy, but having the option to use XLR gives me more flexibility and even better sound quality when I’m using my mixer. It’s great knowing I can use it with different setups without needing a new mic.Convenience That Makes a DifferenceThe tap-to-mute button is so handy—I’ve avoided a few awkward moments with that feature alone. The smart knob for gain and monitoring volume is also intuitive and makes adjustments quick and easy. Having a built-in headphone jack for real-time monitoring has been a game-changer for getting my levels just right.Final ThoughtsOverall, I’m really impressed with the Maono PD100X. It’s not just about the great sound quality; it’s the little details, like the noise reduction, RGB lighting, and dual connectivity, that make it stand out. Whether I’m gaming, streaming, or recording, it feels like this mic was built with people like me in mind.If you’re looking for a mic that delivers on sound, style, and flexibility, I can’t recommend the PD100X enough. It’s definitely earned a spot on my desk. The maono mute red light looks orange in the camera but it’s actually red in person

CLEAR, ACCURATE AND CONCISE MIC
The Maono PD100X is a beautiful, highly effective, efficient microphone connected directly to a PC via USB or to a mixer like Maono G1 NEO via XLR. Depending on the application, the versatility of USB and XLR connections are a great plus for this microphone. The microphone has a definite fun appeal. The light patters add that a fun dimension that is quite mood inducing: from calm to excitement. The mic with stand is light weight and sits nicely on my desk.Although specifications are important, I relied on listening to the recordings through noise canceling headphones. First was a direct connection to the MacBook Air via USB. The gain is just below maximum level and several sample recordings. The next samples are through the Maono G1 NEO via XLR adding just a touch of reverb for a little depth. All samples are recorded on Voice to make mp3’s for later insertions in iMovie, etc.Listening carefully to both samples, I was impressed with the sound reproduction and tonal depth. With the adjustment in the mixer while adding a music track, the playback voice is better than my own. The clarity, accuracy and the crispness of the playback is very clear. This rivals the Shure mic I use for voice overlays in my videos but at 1/3rd the cost. Here is the summary:PROS:Sound reproduction is crisp and clearIndicators for headphone and mic gain are clearUsable with both USB and XLRChanging light patters are cleverConnections into the mic are firmMute button is responsive and sensitiveThe finish on the matted body has a nice feelCONS:At this price point, none really.BOTTOM LINE:The Maono PD100X is a great microphone for clear voice reproduction for podcasting and recording. It is in a nice looking, fun microphone that is usable in different platforms. This is a great find.

Solid Product
I would give this product five stars but the only real issue is that you cannot drift to far from the mic. Other than that it is a solid product for gaming, narration, and even video production. With the right equipment backing it up I would venture that it would also be a decent podcast mic.The sound quality, once dialed in, is really good. With a few minor adjustments you can achieve that rich warm tone quality with very little background interference. The noise canceling is really good I love the fact that you do not have to the use a compressor if you don't want to and I don't care for sound compression that much. It's a pretty rock solid bang for you buck!

Awesome introduction XLR microphone
I feared this mic was going to suck. I bought this with a sound board and it’s super easy to set up. The quality of the item can seem a little cheap but the hardware is where this thing shines. It worked right out of the box. I’m no audio engineer so I can’t say what the details of going between usb to XLR. I can say that from a casual standpoint the XLR does have notable differences.
