A Wonderful Product
I recently retired and wished to begin enjoying a more luxurious coffee experience on a daily basis. Therefore, I purchased a stove top coffee maker(a moka pot) and coffee Lavazza inBlu. Since this is my first foray into this type of coffee I may lack a bit of perspective, but the following is my personal opinion and I was not compensated in any way for this review. I found this Lavazza offering to be a wonderful and affordable product. The roast is clearly the result of a well refined process arrived at over many many years. As a result, the flavor, as well as the aroma, of Lavazza inBlu is very smooth with delightfully floral notes and becomes a bit more fruity the closer you come to the bottom of the cup. The inBlu also possesses a grind that is very very consistent spoonful to spoonful which is very important in certain brewing processes. Overall, to me at least, this is a wonderful coffee product and the people of Lavazza and Turino, Italy can be very proud of producing it. I look forward to sipping and enjoying this product on the approaching crisp Autumn mornings.

The ABSOLUTE Best COFFEE. I have ever tasted!!!
I absolutely love this coffee. I never right reviews good or bad but this is worth the time and words in my opinion. I have been drinking one cup of coffee a mornimg since nursing school. Typically Folgers Special Roast, house blend, or breakfast blend. However went on Vacation and visited the Hard Rock Casino. In Mississippi While there on the floor asked for some coffee and I believe after some research this is the closest thing to it. It's not what you get in the rooms but out in the floor. We left without getting the name and I went about 8 months later to the Hard a rock casino in Tampa this time asked for coffee and sure enough the taste was the same. So I inquired to the waitress and all she could tell me was that it came in a blue container. Since they sell Lavazza in many other flavors in thier coffee shop and they had none in blue I kept searching. Well I am convinced this it. I wish they came in Larger cans. Still trying to figure out what creamer they used but I LOVE THE TASTE OF THIS COFFEE.. Don't mind drinking more than one cup, It's that good!

I love it for my my morning latte!
I am not that picky, but because I can't afford a good burr grinder, I need preground espresso. And I mostly use espresso for lattes. I know, I know, I'm not a purist. I tried several brands from the store and they were absolutely terrible. Then a friend recommended Illy. I tried both the Illy dark and medium roast, and they were great on their own, but the dark roast overwhelmed my latte and the medium roast wasn't quite strong enough. I needed to find a "middle ground." Enter Lavazza in Blu. It makes the best latte. I DO like the Illy better on its own than the Lavazza in Blu. But for a latte, hands down, the Lavazza in Blu wins. This is going to sound odd, but I think it's because it has more of a "generic" taste than the Illy. With the Illy, I could never get the right amount for a latte. It was either too strong or weak for my latte (even when I weighed it on my food scale). With Lavazza, it feels almost fool-proof. I've made about 20 lattes with the Lavazza. Every single one has been fabulous. (As an aside, both the Illy and the Lavazza win hands-down over Sbux, even in my cheap espresso machine.) Overall, I would say that this is great preground espresso. The grind is perfect for my low-end (Mr. Coffee) pump espresso machine. And it makes a fantastic latte! No bitterness or noticeable acidity. And it's half the cost of Illy. The only problem is that I have yet to find this particular Lavazza product in any stores in my area.

My perfect travel companion
Do you like coffee? Of course you do! Then, this coffee is the perfect coffee for your palate! Remember this: you may need to go easy on the amount of coffee you add to your choice coffeemaker to balance the flavor and allow your palate to find those awesome notes this coffe packs. Black and no sweetener is my preference to drink this coffee. It also works well for espressos.

The best I've found
Lavazza in blu is the best pre-ground espresso I've found so far. I'm no aficionado, however it has a nice full flavor with a consistent crema that leaves me wanting more. Not bitter or sweet, not overly strong or weak. An all around flavorful, robust espresso with a hint of mocha. I have a double after dinner and more often that not am sneaking in to make a second one around 8pm. I have tried many others, yet this is still my hands down favorite. I wasn't sure it would work with my De'Longhi EC155 but it does work consistently well. The extraction is a bit longer than most...about 35 seconds with this blend, as it is a bit finer than others. Also, the finer grind has me tamping it only slightly to keep the machine from working too hard. So yes, it takes a few extra seconds, but sure does taste great to me! I made my sister one the other day, and she decided after the fact that she wanted a bit of sugar in it. I only use "sugar in the raw" and slipped a teaspoon on top of her crema. It sat on top for at least ten seconds before it's weight brought it down. That's good crema to me! As always, Amazon's pricing is decent and shipping is fast and well packaged.

Very, very fine grinds
I first tried Lavazza Caffe Espresso Ground Coffee, 8-Ounce Cans (Pack of 4) grinds and liked them so much, I thought I try these too. I do have an electric 15bar espresso machine. These grinds are SO fine it takes a minute to pull a double shot. But sometimes I'd get no flow out of my non-pressurized filter basket. I then tried a pressurized filter basket and it would plug. So I ended up going down to single shots in my non-pressurized double basket to get it to work. In any case, I could not tamp almost at all. With even a little tamping the grinds almost form into a flour-like consistency (very dense). The taste was still OK...but I didn't get much crema. I've have purchased beans locally and got too fine of grinds before and still got good crema. So I'm not sure why I didn't get much with these grinds. The listing warns the grinds are very fine, but says OK for electric machines. So I feel like I was warned...but still mislead. Maybe they should specify the exact machines these work with. Overall... I've used 2 of the cans, but shelved the other two as it just takes far too long to pull a shot. I'll keep them for if I run out of my other grinds.
