This HAFOKO Osmo Action Camera Cold Shoe Adaptor is compatible with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro action camera, sitting underneath the camera and held in place by the magnets and the red latches on the sides.Instead of having the usual two and three interlocking prongs however, this has a hot shoe base with locking collar as well as a quarter inch British Standard Whitworth socket in the bottom. This means that you can mount your action camera on either: one of the myriad of attachments that have a cold shoe socket on them such as hand grips, cages and just about anything; or, you can put it on another camera.Using the quarter Whitworth sockets, you can even put it on top of the spigot of a lighting stand if you want to. This adaptor also has quite a stiff joint in it that allows it to tilt so you can get the angle right for the action camera.The adaptor is made from hard plastic and it is unlikely to be the first thing to fail in an impact - this is well made from good materials and should last a long time.

The media could not be loaded. Very good quality mount, the red clamps attaching the action camera are metal and sprung loaded, clicks securely when attached and the magnetic base is strong too.Like the dji quick mounts there is a little bit of movement at the base when attached, dji actually supply a thin foam insert with their mounts to eliminate this if you really need to, but in reality this movement doesn't affect it when in use.The pivot on this mount is very stiff, which is good. I've attached mine using the 1/4" UNC thread to a GoPro clip attachment mount, works perfectly, quality as good as DJI.

My brother has both a Sony mirrorless camera and one of the DJI action cameras and so for a recent birthday party, I thought it'd be great to have this filming our best moments on both cameras at the same time. This slot in perfectly to the hotshot connector on top of the camera and has a small screw to tighten this on. Once that's done, you can use the DJI's own in-built magnetic clamp the clip into place on to this accessory.So far, it's done well and very handy to film both vertical and horizontal footage at the same time.

Priced at £13.99This works well for me for connection my osmo to a tripod. Very handy. Seems well built to me and holds well with easy release. Price could be lower but it is reasonable overall.

I have started to use this while doing metal detecting using my DSLR camera and the DJI Osmo Action 4 now on top of the DSLR. The DSLR having a macro lens for close ups on finds. I have found the pairing to be absolutely spot on and, with two independent screens to look at it is easy to see exactly where the lenses are pointing.The magnetic clasp works perfectly and this is one of those "gadgets" you perhaps might not think you need until you try it and then realise you should have ordered it ages ago !!A very useful gadget and a definite keeper.
