I glad the other reviews had good luck, for me the inserts were so thin and cheap you could not even get them to go in.

I needed a quick and easy fix for stripped bolt on my cars subframe and this was the prefect solution that made it quick and easy to get on the road again. The kit includes everything your going to need to fix your bolt hole and is very easy to get started. The functionality of the tap is perfect for cleaning out threads and retapping or inserting new threads. The tap feels incredibly durable too and made from very tough and rigid steel. The hand cranking tool is very useful too and you can really get some leverage on it as sometimes the threads are stubborn or really messed up. The sizing was perfect too and fit right into my strpped hole, after 5 or 10 minutes I had new threads ready to accept. Overall this is an incredibly valuable tool for me, especially working on cars where everyone before had just hammered the bolts back in leaving everything stripped. This tool has saved my back already a handful of times and I'm sure will continue to in the future, highly recommended!

I got this for my son that is a mechanic. Although he has not used it yet, it does seem like it is well made and will work as described.
