Expensive, but excellent quality.
They build quality was excellent, which is what I expected. I just didn't want to spend that much money right now. For its price range the printer is fast with excellent resolution. That is normal for HP equipment, good and expensive.

Great product! We had the older Version of this for years it held up great! I am hoping this ones does as well!

A complete waste of time and money
Buy this printer if you want to yell and scream at it all day long. I've gotten every kind of error message possible. You're too close to the load line, too far way from the load line, Media type not recognize, paper out of skew. The only thing this printer has done today is un reel 150 feet paper roll. You would think a $1000 printer would be able to do something right. Not this one. I can't return this fast enough!

Great Product Wrong Amazon Dimensions
The HP Plotter was package very well, with no damage. Set up was very quick and connected to W-FI easily. If you built a stand for it as I did, the Dimensions Amazon has are incorrect. Amazon has the D x H backwards. Glad I went to the HP Webpage to double check dimensinons. True numbers: 11H x 40W x 17D. Built my Plotter stand out of Black Walnut.

no multi-sheet tray, but seems to work well otherwise
I did not realize that this plotter did not have a multi-sheet tray; you can only insert a single sheet at a time, aligned to the right edge of the roll. This also doesn't have an output tray for sheets. In that it is a downgrade from my Designjet T520 which recently stopped working and is now discontinued. It also took a while to get it set up on my desktop computer. The setup worked much more easily on my laptop. Print quality is good. Roll printing of Arch D (24 x 36) sheets works fine. I think I hit "buy" too quickly when this was presented as a replacement for my T520 and missed a few things which are actually key features for me, since I often print drawings sets at tabloid (11x17) size and doing that by single sheets is a non-starter.

This has to be the biggest piece of crap I've ever set my eyes on. The 24" paper won't load straight no matter what I do. No help to be found anywhere online. Save your money and buy something different. I never should have bought this printer.
