After buying the cheap collars that did absolutely nothing on my giant escape artist of a dog (she wouldn’t even feel it at max power) I bought this collar. Yes it’s expensive but it works. So first of all the range is amazing. I live in the middle of the woods and even with my dog running full speed through the woods 200yards away it works. Then the vibrate is really powerful. The shock setting, be very careful. For stubborn dogs anything less than 50 won’t do much at all. But The max shock setting is very powerful, which sometimes is what is needed on stubborn 130lbs dogs. But still, I felt bad when I used it. The good news is it stops my dog dead in her tracks. And she runs back to the house at the speed of light. It’s not something she can just ignore. The collar is also very well made and very easy to put on and off. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase. Should have bought it long ago. Well worth the money.

This product has worked very well for me and my German shepherd. She is so responsive at really low stimuli. I love being able to get such good results without pain or harshness. I love how easy it is to charge with it having a universal USB-C connection. It was quite a bit too big for my girl but it was super easy to trim down to her size without it looking dorky. The controller is small and heavy duty so it can fit easily and discretely into most of the pockets on my clothes. The battery lasts for a reasonable amount of time. It's a high quality product. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Got it for training a Weimaraner. It is very effective. The tone seems to be a correct frequency that is loud and gets his attention. The range is more than enough for hiking swimming and any other off leash activities. Still works great even after a season of swimming in fresh and salt water. The battery life is long and the light does come in very handy for night walks. The shock is extremely strong on max level so pay attention to what level it’s at because the dial can be spun in your pocket. Definitely a good value for the price and quality. Compared to a cheaper model it’s worth pricing up. It gives us peace of mind to have him off leash.

This is a fantastic collar. My only complaint is that the boost button is the same as the tone, page and, light buttons. My dog took off after a rabbit and I quickly grabbed the remote and mistakenly hit boost instead of tone. In a large field my dog can get hundreds of yards away and still reliably recall. It is water proof! I forgot to push the rubber cover back over the charging port before Daisy submerged it for a short time. It still worked fine and charged after I cleaned out the port. High power output! Suggested for large breeds and hunting/working dogs. I started trying to e-collar train with a cheapo jugbow, and it didn't go great. I then got the dogtra 200iq which is low-medium output. Another great model by dogtra that I would recommend trying before this 1900x! I have a GSP hunting dog. They are real tough. So she didn't respond much, even maxed out at lvl100 on the 200iq. I got the 1900x and her working lvl is now 15-18 out of 100 with a boost set to 10. She responds great and all is well. Remember training is key! You are not buying a magic "stop that" button.

I've been using the Dogtra 1900x for a couple weeks now and, overall, I'm impressed. It’s a significant upgrade from my previous PetSafe model and has really allowed me to fine-tune my dog’s training with much lower stimulation levels, which wasn’t possible with PetSafe, where I was always at 100% power so it might tingle him. Pros: Excellent remote – very user-friendly and functional. Powerful – this collar can handle even the most stubborn dogs, which makes it reliable for when my dog is full of adrenaline or drive. Great battery life – battery lasts long on both the remote and collar, so I’m not constantly recharging it. USB-C charging is a huge plus. Minor Cons: LED light – the LED only flashes instead of staying on constantly, which would be more helpful for visibility during night sessions in the park or field. Contact points – the standard contact points caused some pink spots on my dog’s neck, but switching to titanium points solved the issue. It’s a must if you’re concerned about skin sensitivity. Weight: Both the remote and collar are a bit heavy, but it does give it a more premium feel. In summary, the Dogtra 1900x has been reliable so far and is a far better choice than my PetSafe e-collar.
