Kenmore22614 Pet Friendly Lightweight Bagless Compact Canister Vacuum with Pet Powermate, HEPA, Extended Telescoping Wand, Retractable Cord and 2 Cleaning Tools-Purple

This Kenmore DC5070 500 Series vacuum is a keeper. I hope it lasts as some comments say it didn't and they had trouble with it. Vacuuming is not high on my housekeeping to-dos but I have a dog that sheds quite a bit. I wanted a lightweight, bagless canister (I tried others) and this fit the bill. It is more quiet than my older Kenmore bag canister, one of the first things I noticed, other than the sturdiness of the vacuum itself. I like the great suction and the fact that the wand components click securely together. Decent cord length, longer than some others. The motorized nozzle has a light so I can see under the bed (someplace I could not vacuum with my upright) as well as everywhere else I go with it and being motorized and swivels make the job easier. It's convenient that I don't have to change the nozzle between floors or carpets. However, this vacuum does not like high pile carpet but the small brush, that conveniently fits on the back, does a decent job because of the great suction, just takes a little longer because it's smaller. My home is mostly floors with a few throw rugs so this is not a huge problem for me. Storage is easy as it hooks together to move as one piece. Lastly, the downside of bagless vacuums is the hair and dirt that needs dumping. This too is easy enough and it has a large capacity dust cup to handle my needs. No I do not like the dirt that may need to be wiped out afterwards, but that's to be expected with a bagless vacuum of any brand. I have an extra set of filter pads so I can immediately switch them out and not have to wait for them to dry after rinsing.

I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now. I waited to write my review just to make sure I still loved it as much as I did the first time I used it. With having a lot of pets in the house, I have purchased numerous types of vacuum cleaners over the years. Upright vacuum for the carpets and a separate one to do the hard surfaces such as tile and wood floors. With that said, this is the most absolute best vacuum cleaner I have ever purchased! It takes the place of all the other vacuums. It transitions from carpet to hardwood and back with the flick of a button on the handle. Everything about it is very convenient. Not to mention, I can go from cleaning the floors to instantly putting on an attachment to clean all kinds of areas. I can’t say enough good things about this vacuum.

I really love all the features of this vacuum, but sadly it's just no good. The first one I bought (October 2024) lasted several months before the electrical connection in the swivel handle stopped working, so the powerhead wouldn't stay on. My husband tried taking it apart to try to fix it, but the wires are all enclosed in plastic and he never could even get to them. We were within the warranty period, so contacted the company. The warranty process is very difficult (and there's no option of just replacing the broken part - you have to cut the cord on it and they send you a whole new vacuum). It took several months for the new vacuum to arrive; now just a few months later the new vacuum has developed the same problem. The reason I bought it was because of the powerful effective powerhead, but now it just randomly comes on because there's a short in that same spot (under the swivel handle). Of course there's no warranty on the replacement, so I'm just out the $269 I paid for the first one ... very disappointing!

I seriously am a vacuum cleaner connoisseur. This vacuum has great suction with a wide headIt's got two problems1)the way it's built it doesn't roll around easy instead of having four wheels it has two and it doesn't really roll right without picking up the hose a little2) the wand with the rotary head will only stand up if it's on the low setting not on high but even on low carpet setting, it tips over pretty easy especially if it's on medium or high carpet setting. It will take some time getting used to moving it around and laying it down as opposed to standing up when I want to stop for a second but the suction is really good on hardwood and regular pile carpet. it's a little hard on my two heavy shag rug areas to push it even on high setting

Great power! I am really impressed with the suction that this vacuum has. It is relatively light and maneuvers easily. I was really surprised with how must dirt, dust and dog hair ended up in the collection bin. The 24 foot long power chord is a real plus. We prefer the bagless because bags end up in the landfill and can cost over $5 each (which can really add to the cost of the vacuum). I highly recommend this vacuum.

This machine is powerful and versatile. Love the extended reach. Great suction. Self propelled. Picks up pet hair and everything else.
