German Learning Book for Beginners A1-A2: Essential Vocabulary, Grammar, and Practical Exercises for Everyday Conversations (Deutsch für alle – Vom ... for everyone – From beginner to advanced )) Review: Not worth the money - This book covers the basic vocabulary and grammar for A1/A2; however, it gives you sentences with vocabulary and verb conjugations that were not covered previously in the book. Sure, you can go online and look up words you need to complete their exercises, but at that point, why have this book? You are better off just searching online for vocab lists and example sentences at the A1/A2 level. For example, in chapter 1, it talks about numbers, days of the week, "haber", and "sein." Then at the end of the chapter, it asks you translate: "The event will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday." "Event" is not taught, "to start" is not taught, and giving time is not taught. Another sentence it tells you to translate: "My mother's birthday is on the 10th of November." The possessive form is not taught, the number 10 is taught, but not the 10th, and the months are not taught, etc. Review: All good

Got it as a gift for my mother. It's a good book to complement an oral program. She likes the way it's laid out by chapter. She says it's beginner but not beginner enough for her, but that's more an error on my part. Paper and binding quality is very good.
