Great ATT Phone With Caller ID And Call Blocking AAAAA+++++ Easy Set Up , Works Great
Fantastic Phone , Features , Easy To Understand , Set Up , And Works Very Nicely. This Is An Upgrade For Me From A Basic ATT Phone w/o Caller Display And Block Features. This New Phone Replaces That Phone Of 7 Years Age. I Am Very Pleased, Its A Great Phone , I Bought Just The Station And Stock Supplied Handset, Not An Additional Base Unit. This Is Super AAAAAA+++++++ Great Phone In The Price Range I Was Searching For, With All The Features I Need

Best house phone on Amazon!
I love everything about these phones. 5-stars is not enough, Amazon! I purchased these phones in early October 2020 for my mother's apartment in Brooklyn. First, the design. It's very modern. I'm not a fan of the orange LED light under the buttons. Maybe something plain like white or even blue. But the numbers and buttons are big and bold, and the bright orange helps. The nearly squared-off, almost Samsung Note like design is very modern and attractive looking. The black and the silver colors go hand in hand with each other to create a lovely looking house phone. There is a "Push-To-Talk" feature which the only device I can compare it to is a walky-talky or Apple's HomePod where there is a feature to talk to other HomePods in the same house using an intercom feature. It's great! Never know when you might need it. The main phone in the original base came with a battery and the home base is really cool. It looks like a modern office phone where you can name the base as well. (as you can see my phone is blurred out for safety reasons) The screen is really bright! Great for older people. It also has "HD Audio" which as far as I can tell, just has the audio sound more clear. I couldn't make any comparison to my older, all-black house phones that I threw out before writing this review. But I do know that audio can't really be "HD" so as far as I can tell, since that is a picture-related term, this is semi-marketing spin. But since these phones were made by AT&T, the oldest phone company on Earth dating back to 1885, I trust them to make a phone-related device. And since these phones came out in 2017, the call audio is probably better than most phones. These phones were apparently released in June 2017, so this is the best a house phone is getting, in terms of modern and functional. It has other features too, like an antenna to adjust and even a dialer with buttons like an office phone. You can control the volume and change the ringer type as well. It's very well built with superior sound quality. Finally, it has a button JUST for blocking, which is pretty petty and cool. The 'Smart Call Blocker' is an underrated feature and is great for spam calls, which even in 2021, STILL KEEPS happening. It also has features that you come to expect from a house released in the late 2010s. Such as a Mute button, Locator feature (Find HS), speakerphone and redial. With a bunch of buttons on the base to make you feel professional, along with Caller ID and Caller ID Announce. All of the features here sum up to make an excellent house phone that needs to be the ONLY phone that you buy IF you choose to still have a house phone in 2021 and beyond.

Good Quality, Not Easy to Use
These were bought to replace an old Panasonic set. The ease of blocking spam call numbers was the big selling point for us. They work well, sound quality is very good, and the volume is loud enough for my nearly deaf wife to use. The only down-side is the menu system is not intuitive and takes more time to use just to review missed calls, and retrieve messages. Otherwise is does what it was made to do.

BEST LANDLINE PHONE SYSTEM TO COMBAT ROBO & SCAM CALLS
THIS PHONE SOLVES MANY PROBLEMS: I bought it to replace my 4-year old AT&T landline phone because I suspected that AT&T had improved on its CALL BLOCKING capabilities; It did and more so...and has given me a greater sense of security...protecting me from unwanted ROBO CALLS and BLOCKING SCAMMERS. The alternative for one to purchase a cheap landline set and try to add CALL BLOCKERS sold separately; they don't work and are not compatible with CALLER ID. And are expensive. This AT&T phone system works seamlessly. It has a terrific base that lights up with lots of functions that make life easier...speed dial...CID LOG...better sound...great DIRECTORY capacity...It's a great buy and easy to set up. You can't go wrong with this item!

10 Stars for the auto-call rejection!
10 Stars for the auto-call rejection! Used this for 90 set for my year old (hard of hearing/hearing aids ) mother after I had ordered one from another source and used it for ourselves for several months. By far the most salient point and what I most wanted the phones for was the auto rejection of all callers not in the contacts. This is so great it almost overcomes the other faults ! No other phone system I know of will do this without laboriously adding callers to a reject list. Our previous Panasonic system did that albeit, not easily/quickly. The other major problem with those systems is that many telemarketing outfits (there are much worse names we could use!) have likely dozens of numbers and are statistically likely to use a different one each time (or on purpose), so good luck trying to enter all those in your rejects! Mom said the same thing we thought upon getting ours “It’s been so wonderfully quiet around here!”. Only 1 or 2 enterprising telemarketers have taken the effort to “run the gauntlet “ leaving their name and info which takes a minute or so to do and important callers who haven’t gotten into your contacts will almost always do. The phone only then will ring (although all calls show up on the tv on our Dish system, they are Blessedly silent) and if you are liking what you hear you must push 1 in order to answer. You can ignore the call doing nothing or likewise if you are gone they can leave a message after whatever ring interval you have setup. I would give a 10 star rating for this feature alone which wasn’t an option! However, they decided to skimp on development for the rest of the phone so my rating was correspondingly low. The software is abysmal and very non-intuitive/hard to use. In addition to this poor quality the sound is very poor on both speaker phone function and regular use. The microphone is very cheap/un-sensitive/tinny as the earset and speaker ”speaker” which makes communicating a challenge even by turning up the volume, only possible on the listening side as with most all home systems. The speakerphone function cuts in and out with poor effect cutting off words etc. . I have a soft voice which is hard for many to hear so I need the speaker phone which is louder on the other end which when I get closer to it effectively gives me the ability to turn up the volume for the other listener! I can only compare to a Panasonic System which we threw out for this one as the adding block numbers one at a time was just too cumbersome. As well the ease of use with that software was similarly abysmal with similar poor hardware (to match making it a very abysmal phone as well). A Vtech before that (worse yet) . It goes without saying I’m on the hunt for a phone that has the best of all worlds. If I can find one with good quality hardware that is easy to communicate on I would “piggyback” it on with this at&t system even if I had to jury rig a switch or even just have the second phone ringer silenced to talk on ! With all that, I would say the auto call block option on the at&t is indispensable if only for that I won’t be throwing this one out!

It’s great
For the house phone for my daughter while her mom and I are at work. No spam calls, only the numbers we program into it can call through. My mother in law lives with us but doesn’t speak English so I needed a way for my daughter to call 911 in an emergency and a way to communicate with her during the day. Handheld battery lasts a long time, base is in the back office but no connection issues when she’s I the front room. Vonage is only 16 bucks per month.

This Product Is Difficult to Set Up and the Sound is UNACCEPTABLE.
I bought this 5-handset model to replace my 14-year-old, 4-handset VTECH (that still worked fine, BTW). The physical setup was easy but the programming of the system was another story. When I received the AT&T unit, I unwrapped it, installed and charged all the batteries for 24 hours, and removed the plastic covers from the handsets. Then I began the set-up process (i.e. the programming). After spending several hours over a two-day period I was unable to set up the way I wanted it, and I gave up. I just don't have the time to try and figure out what the user guide's writer was trying to say. What I liked: About all there was to like during my experience was how easy it was to return the system. I obtained a return note from Amazon that had a barcode on it,then I took my packaged product along with the barcode to the nearest UPS store. The store did all the rest at no charge to me. What I disliked: 1. The sound of recorded messages was very low, garbled, and impossible to understand. 2. I found the "quick start" user guide difficult to understand, and I've been a technical writer and illustrator in the electronics industry for the last 20 years. It was a test of my patience, and I lost. I don't understand how a 1st time user could set up the base unit using these poorly written instructions. 3. The full "user guide" is not part of the shipped product and is only available by downloading it (a PDF) from the AT&T website. It's over 150 pages long and is printed on small, 5" x 7" format, making it a huge effort to print. 4. Lots of simple things were missing from both the quick start and the full user manuals. For example, while I was trying to set it up I could not find a way to go back up a step or two. I did manage to set the date and the time, but after that, things got pretty muddy. Another thing was I did not find out how to disable the audible caller ID function (set to "default=ON) and that kept bugging me as I was trying to configure the base unit. 5. It was impossible and I mean IMPOSSIBLE to pack everything back into the box the way it was originally packed. I just put all the parts back in their little plastic bags, put the bags into the bottom of the box, put the cardboard separators on top, closed the box, and took it to my local UPS store. This is the first negative review that I've written since buying all kinds of stuff from the internet over the last 20 years. Sorry AT&T, but you lose BIG, BIG TIME due to your poor documentation.

As what you'd expect from the company that invented the telephone and continues to enhance it!
I bought this 5-Handset DECT 6.0, replacing a 15-year-old AT&T 4-Handset Phone with Answering Machine. The set I replaced had problems with on/off hook at the base station which also contained the answering machine. The system worked reliably for 15-years, only going out of operation when the power went out (frequently, when the development was building out and less frequently when the landline went out). The set-up went fairly well, just took more time as the system set-up uses more buttons that don't function intuitively, The Bluetooth connectivity is surprisingly stronger than expected and all sets readily connected to the base station with little effort.
