La storia raccontata in Given è semplicemente bella. Benché breve, sono nove i volumi in tutto, i personaggi evolvono e crescono migliorando loro stessi, comprendendo le loro paure (diventare musicisti professionisti o no?) e i propri limiti grazie al confronto tra di loro come persone e come musicisti. Qui scopriremo se la Musica dividerà Uenoyama e Mafuyu o se quest’ultimo riuscirà a superare definitivamente il suo trauma. Mi è piaciuto il fatto che Yuki non sia stato solo “la scusa” per far partire la storia, ma sia stato un personaggio reale, che abbiamo conosciuto a fondo e che è per l’intero arco narrativo. Grafica e disegni eccezionalmente espressivi.
