The EC Archives: Tales from the Crypt Volume 4 : Feldstein, Al, Gaines, William, Ingels, Graham, Kamen, Jack, Davis, Jack: desertcart.in: Books Review: A must read for ec horror fans - Nice juicy storylines ……… aptly supportive art…… way above its contemporaries from the same time zone. Looks as fresh today as it was a few decades ago. Review: I received this book today. I have been waiting like everyone else for years for its release. I am not disappointed. Everyone knows these books and how great they are by now so I will skip a review of the contents but rather focus on how well Dark Horse did in the printing. The new book is about 1/8" smaller than the original from Gemstone but barely noticeable at all. The spine doesn't exactly match up to the previous ones. The binding appears to be sewn like the previous ones and also glued? Evidently it's both as I see stitching and glue. The book overall seems just a tad thinner indicating thinner paper was used (same page count from Vol 3). But honestly I couldn't tell when I actually felt the paper. It was nice and thick. Similar to the Hellboy Library Editions DH put out. The colors are fantastic and bright. I can't believe I finally have this and even though little things like the spine not lining up and such might bother some perfectionists, I am just overjoyed to have this book, and hopefully all the others soon, in my collection. Thank you Dark Horse!!!

I was delighted to get several of these "EC Archives" volumes cheap ($7 CA) on Kindle. They look great on my iPad (the colours have been remastered). And the material is fascinating. Not just the gruesomeness -- familiar to everyone who (like me) watched HBO's TALES FROM THE CRYPT in the 1990s -- but, even more surprisingly, the occasional frankness about sex. Not to join with Frederick Werther but ... wow! As with almost every film noir I watch, it's astonishing to be reminded that postwar America was nowhere near as "innocent" as the more mainstream movies and TV of the time might lead you to think.

Es impresionante que estas historias tengan más de 60 años y sigan interesando e impactando como en el momento de su publicación. A mi hijo de 16 años le encantan y encima le mejoran su nivel de inglés... Qué más se puede pedir?

Arrived in excellent condition. EC comics remain the best horror comics of all time, and these Dark Horse editions are great. The colour leaps of the page.
