Stopped The Cortisol Surges When Waking Up
I was very pleasantly surprised with how well this works. I think my hormones may be off, because I have been waking up with my heart pounding for no good reason. I am guessing my cortisol levels are off. Before I found these I tried several other natural sleeping supplements that have helped in the past and this was the only one that helped. I have taken it at night and in the day and it doesn't necessarily make me sleepy - but it helps keep my heart regular while sleeping and reduces/eliminates cortisol surges. I took one every night for about a week and now I just take them as needed.

Best Phosphatidylserine Brand
I won't be switching brands any time soon. Yes, these are expensive. However, if you are picky about your supplements, you don't regret the extra dollars spent. I previously used the Solgar Phosphatidylserine and I was generally happy with them. My only issue with Solgar was that the pill capsules would leak and stain my hands...even when stored in a cool area. This brand does not leak, the liquid capsules are small and easy to swallow, and I've noticed less of a taste in my mouth after taking these vs the Solgar version. As for their claims of mental acuity and "helps with exercise," I can vouch for both of these. Since taking this brand, I've noticed that my general ability to function in the morning (on meetings, phone calls, etc) is through the roof. I can recall words much faster, I have a ton of mental energy, and I feel less tired after the gym. I'm a huge Ray Kurzweil fan (following the recommendations on supplementation given in his book Transcend) and I supplement with just one pill daily. Pros: - Easy to swallow - Will not leak and stain - No noticeable taste after taking - Noticeable boost in mental acuity (especially in the mornings) - More energy in the gym - Soy free! Yay! Cons - A pricey buy for minimal improvement over the competitors.

Improved brain power
I feel I have less brain fog when I use this product. As a 76 year old, it is important to stay as sharp as possible. I don't like fumbling for words and this seems to help eliminate that.

Seems To Help With Cortisol Levels, But Not With Memory
I originally bought this to help with memory issues, and I was looking for a soy-free product. Unfortunately, this did not seem to help my memory much at all and so I looked for something else to augment. I did find a product that really does helps with forming new memories - that is Phosphatidylcholine - I recommend this brand or Thorne's. However, I do think PS is still important for cortisol control. I tend to have off-the-charts anxiety and this PS combined with Pharma-GABA (I use the Thorne 250mg capsules) does help and it is noticeable. 5-HTP and L-Theanine can also help with anxiety. I am also always looking for ways to increase neurotransmitter production and am open to any suggestions or tips.

Caused sleepless nights. Not for me. Potentially dangerous!!!
I had rebound side effects to Holy Basil. So my naturopath gave me to reduce night time cortisol. It was calming and soothed my nervous stomach but unfortunately kept mind and body wide awake. Since taking phosphatidylserine and Holy basil I'm struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep and become feeling very stressed like steroid withdrawal. Now it has prolonged my menses..please be aware the adrenals don't work independently. Plants and vitamins can have side effects to. I'm too scared to try again. Caused severe stress and agitated and difficulty getting a full breath. Update 2/6/2021: please take caution. Checked my saliva cortisol about six weeks about side effects above and sadly now confirmed by same dr. that rx these two remedies that I am now recovering from adrenal crisis. The above causes my cortisol levels in half and now difficient. Please take caution. My doctor failed to warn me.
