Cherished and sought after by tea connoisseurs all over the world, Gyokuro is a rare Japanese green tea variety that is shaded for a minimum of two weeks before harvesting; this will naturally boost the levels of chlorophyll in the leaf- which produces a unique, deep, and sweet cup of green tea! Gyukuro Premier of this quality is rarely exported, and rather difficult to buy, we here at Tealyra have gone to great lengths to procure for your pleasure!

Harvested just once annually during the spring, our shade grown Gyrokuro’s increased levels of chlorophyll add depth, flavor, color and complexity to the tea, and significantly increases its nutritional content as well.
