Will this provide characters that can be traced to satisfy DMV?

Good morning, Tag is absolutely not PRINTED. as described and pictured, tag is laser engraved. This semi chemical process leaves a permanent marking and is the same used by manufacturer now. You can feel some relief when you pass your finger on the letters, You can clean tag with alcohol base products and even acetone and it won't remove the engraving (printing would wear in a snap) You can make a pencil trace of the number, please message us and we'll send you a picture of the result pencil traced.

how big are the numbers?

On this model, box is 1/4" and numbers are +- 3/16" high. We can also custom make almost anything: Send us a message if you need special size or design. If you're looking for a boat tag, please order our HIN tag. It is made according to regulations with 1/4" high numbers.

The tag on our car is designated on the dash and we need it replaced. Will this work for thst? Is it legal?
