Helpful Resource for Child Care Providers
Whether you are a parent of an infant or a professional child care provider as I am, this book will help you build activities that engage and teach in appropriate, simple, practical ways. I purchased this book for our infant room to have on hand in lesson-planning. The author is well known and credible. Her ideas are workable and easy to understand.

and this was a really good book for me to start getting all my thoughts
I am currently in my second year of daycare after graduating high school, but now that I am in a much larger center I have been placed in an Infant room specifically, and this was a really good book for me to start getting all my thoughts, daily lesson plans, and just ideas about infants in general. I bought a lot of different books to really dive into everything, and I've enjoyed them all. You can never have too many books about something that you're interested in, or something you need to know more about. There is always room to learn.

Better than expected
The book is very well laid out, every sign is described in detail (they even provide a link to online videos demonstrating exactly how each sign is done). Chapter one spends a good bit of time explaining why teaching babies sign language is beneficial and answer various question parents may have. One point that encouraged me is that teaching infants sign language does not hinder them speech, but rather one study showed it actually can accelerate when a baby will start to speak. We bought this as a gift for new parents some years ago and their baby girl really did well with it.

Good resource, much is common knowledge approaches
I thought this was a nice resource. It has some good song and activity ideas. A lot of the interactions are things people naturally do with infants without being told to incorporate that in their actions. (At least for a parent) The organization of the book is a little difficult and not as easy to use as the Toddler book. I am still glad I purchased it for my son, though.

Great resource on Infants
I bought this as soon as I became a teacher at a childcare center as I wanted to know as much as I could about infants before working with them. This book was a life saver, I learned so much in how to work with infants, feed them, teach them, what skills they should be learning, milestones, etc. You name it this book has it! This would be great book to get expecting mothers as well as something every childcare center that has infants should have on hand.
