I ordered the computer in "Excellent Condition," and there were no major dents or anything. However, the keyboard was definitely used and not cleaned effectively, as it only took some wet wipes to remove the previous owner's oils.I ordered the computer thinking I was going to get a 512GB model because that's what the listing said I would receive. However, I got a 1-terabyte model instead!!! So I am thrilled.The computer itself works great and is super fast much better than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go that I was using I chose the pro over the newer air model because I felt that the air would melt with the amount of work that I do (Adobe). I haven’t had much time with it to see if the battery lasts long enough, because the battery has degraded to only 86% health, which isn’t the best for a computer in "Excellent Condition." Otherwise, I am happy with it and I hope that happiness continues...

2nd Edit: and we’re going back down to one star, because the seller sent the exact same power block AGAIN. Even after I told them what the recommended Block for this particular MacBook Pro required. You could literally google the correct size or look on the Apple website. But instead they sent me the wrong size cord, which won’t even power the machine, at best, and will ruin the battery, at worst. Hopefully this laptop will last because I will not be buying from Amazon renewed again.Editing up to 3 stars from 1 to give the Seller some credit on this interaction. They immediately send out the proper cord and the current laptop is working great. Unfortunately, I am still on laptop #3 since May via the Amazon Renewed program, so I can't morally give more positive feedback than that, at this time.This is my third MacBook Pro purchase through Amazon’s renewed program in under two months. I’ve been trying to upgrade from my 2013 machine (which Apple has basically bricked through forced obsolescence) without dropping $4K+ on a brand-new system.Laptop #1 wouldn’t even boot. Immediate return.Laptop #2 took a month to arrive (despite “expedited” shipping), showed up with a warped frame, and started overheating within weeks. Returned again—now waiting up to 30 days for a refund.Laptop #3, ordered at a significantly higher price point to avoid more hassle, finally arrived… with the wrong size charger.The unit shipped with an 87W aftermarket block instead of the required 140W charger. After 90 minutes on the charger, the battery was still at 8%. I contacted Amazon support expecting a quick fix (like every other returnable item they handle), but was told I had to wait 24–48 hours for an email from “the seller” before anything could happen—even though the seller is Amazon themselves, via a contractor.I didn’t ask to return the laptop. I just needed the correct charger. Instead, I had to buy a proper 140W charger out of pocket—again. I haven’t even removed the wrapper from the incorrect one they sent.This should have been an easy, next-day resolution. Instead, it’s been an exhausting string of poor quality control, long delays, and frustrating support over what should have been a minor fix.Amazon: Do better.

i ended up ordering 2 of the same condition from this listing but from different sellers. the second one was about $15 less and was significantly better. it may be just one listing, but the sellers are nothing alike.The first:[1 star experience] Arrived early in "ok" used condition. It had a small dent by the screen where the lid meets the palm rest, worn keycaps, dust and debris under the keys, and scratches on the apple logo... I purchased a Refurbished/Renewed "Excellent". This could be "good" or "very good", but never excellent.The most glaring issue with the first though, was the battery. it had over 500 cycles (90% capacity)and apple only rates them for 1000 before replacement is likely to become necessary. (it also had an unofficial cable and charger, but the charger was 140W which, while cool, isnt any better than the 97W unless you have the 16 inch but it is still bulkier)I decided to order a second one but also be much more picky with the seller ratings this time and hope to get a better example so i can return this one.The second:[Perfect 5 stars] Arrived on time, and.... WOW! First and foremost, the battery had 4 cycles on it and full100% capacity! It also came in an official apple certified refurbished box with new official magsafe cable, 97W fast charger, and intact plastic wrap. I didnt check if apple care could be activated bc idk how and i got insurance through amazon. Also, i obviously didnt include photos of the second one. If you want to know what it looked like, go on apples website or to a store, it's simply *flawless*.I already started my return on the first. As long as i dont have any issues returning it, i won't be sharing who the first seller was. I'll update this with any issues that pop up on the second one if they do, but as of now, im extremely happy with my purchase and leaving 5 stars to reflect that.
