Callaway Strata Plus Men's Complete Golf Set with Bag, 18-Piece

I tried to buy a right handed set but the description doesn't actually say that until it was already ordered and shipped to me. This was not the hand that I want!!! Why is that the default and the description doesn't say it?I ordered this because I was hopeful about the quality. The box does not say Callaway in any way, which made me question if it was actually the correct brand in the description too...Overall not a good experience trying to order these, and embarrassing to give the wrong hand as a gift to my fiance.

I got the clubs at the start of spring for an extra set. They seemed like a good bargain and after playing two rounds with them they work pretty good. They have a good weight and are balanced well. Only problem I had was after only hitting maybe 20 balls the head of the driver came off. I could see it happening if I had hit the ground with it a lot but this was not the case. Like always Amazon support took care of the problem even though I was past the return window. If it wasnt for the driver breaking I would give the clubs 4 stars.

Been using these clubs for a few months. They're a good set for me (just started 3 months ago). As I'm improving my game I'm realizing the clubs are a great value, but you may not use all the clubs and you may need to upgrade the ones you've gotten better with...Part of the reason I bought this is to look like a golfer and also fit in. I was conscious of the alternative: buying a few clubs at a time as needed. When you do end-up upgrading your entire set, these are a decent set of clubs to have when you have visitors.Overall you're paying for not just the quality of the clubs but also the bag and number of clubs. If you're like me and are considering buying these, do not hesitate and buy with confidence!

Very impressed with the quality of these clubs right out of the box and everything included. Wasn't expecting much for the price but once again amazon thoroughly impressed me!

I purchased this 18 pieces Golf set, but only received 17pieces. Hybrid 4 wasn't on the bag.Not find a place to place a claim for this missing item....Any help will be appreciates

I have been playing almost 30 years now (how did that happen.). Started in my 30's so I've never gotten my h'cap below about 16. I am currently playing to about a 20. I tend to hit the ball straight with some ability to work it left or right.So... I rented these clubs at Rancho Park when I was in West LA this week.They are super easy to hit. They tend to fly high. And the driver and 3 woods have a strong draw bias.The grips are especially "proactive" with deep grooves biased along the hand alignment graphics.My normal set is currently Taylor Made burner irons from 2011 and a 2012 Taylor Made RBZ adjustable driver. I use an Odyssey H7 putter, several years old with white but not white hot insert.But... if someone told me I could only play these insanely cheap Stratas for the rest of my life, I think that I could live with it. The big downside of these clubs for an experienced finesse player is that they are tough to fade or draw and I felt like I was fighting the draw bias. They are not particularly long but they are very straight, except the occasional pull due to the draw bias.I can't speak the durability issue that others have brought up, because I don't hit the ball that far. 200 yard drives are my average these days and these clubs delivered that in warmer LA. I live in Seattle, so I might have gotten 10% more yardage at Rancho with my own sticks.Oh, and my rental set included a high end sand wedge by Callaway, which was great. Consequently, I cannot speak to the performance of the Strata sand wedge.

I just started really playing the game of golf 6-8 months ago. I have mainly been using other people's clubs and the clubs they provide at the driving range. I finally got these clubs today (they are so popular they have been back ordered a month) and as I started swinging, I thought I had to write a great review. Great starter set from what I am getting from all my friends that have been playing for some time. I have not played a full 18 yet, but the driving range was kind to me today. Most people don't like the fact that these clubs don't say the Callaway name anywhere on them, but that didn't matter to me. I know they are a brand of callaway and the quality is there for the price. Great purchase!!

These are an amazing value. You wont find a better complete set in the 200 to 300 dollar range.
