Good shock for tractor hood
Bought these for its lift capacity ratings. They worked good. Installed these on a CASE tractor to hold up the hood. They were easy to install. The quality looks good.

Worked great on my lid
Worked great on the Jeraco lid on my old Tundra pick-up. Similar to the original struts, which just kept popping at the ball at close. Went from 100 lb to 110 given strength criticism in a few reviews. Working great so far.

It is not a 20 inch strut. Only about 19.
I’m sure the struts are fine, but in my case I needed exactly 20 inches from pivot point to pivot point. The strut turned out to only be about 19.2 inches which would not allow my boat hatch door to open all the way. It has to open all the way to allow the ketch to engage. Another typical company giving false information. I guess for a hatch of a car or a truck. it probably is not a big deal, but for a boat it has to be just right.
