I used to limit the size of my kumihimo projects to 16 strands or fewer because thinner cords would slide out of the regular discs, and patterns with more than 16 strands get a bit too thick for my taste. These discs are double the thickness, so fine cords stay put and now I can work with the thinner threads like I've been wanting to. I think I need about 6 more of these... will definitely be buying again.

These disks were perfect, they are a nice thick foam so your string doesn't fall off or get stuck trying to move it to the next spot.

Finally I can do 28 string Kuhimimo.

I have made a few things from these boards, they work great and are so easy to use. They are durable even using wire or horse hair in them, they stay tight to hold your project together for a even braid.

Good quality foam and does exactly what it needs to do. Arrived quickly and in good condition.

Good value, got two, so can use one for fine thread and the second one for thicker thread or cord, I did take an exacto knife and made the slot a bit deeper, and then worked perfectly. I found the thicker foam easier to hold, and made it very sturdy....would definitely buy again....also came earlier than expected
