Twilight Blue pond dye is a great color for our earth pond
We have a lot of pond weeds growing in our 1/4 acre earth pond every summer, making it look very unappealing (except to the dogs). Previously we have used a different color dye from the Pond Guy, but it made the water resemble the Caribbean, and we live in North Idaho. This time we chose the Twilight Blue color, applying it towards the end of March to get a head start on the weed growth. The color is really nice, a darker blue that looks pretty natural for our area. We initially added one cup of dye, but the color wasn't quite as dark as we wanted so added another cup, which did the trick. When the weather warms up, we will try Muckaway to help clear the bottom of the pond, which is now about twenty years old. Over ten years ago we added a baggie full of goldfish to the water (from a pet store, to "help" feed the turtles); there continue to be several large schools of goldfish of different sizes and colors that over-winter, so they are alive and well, and attracting herons, Kingfishers, ospreys and mergansers. Hopefully the darker color of the water will make it more difficult for them to get picked off! We plan to use the dye every 4-6 weeks as recommended; it is very cost-effective for us since our pond is small with a constant influx of water from an underground stream, and doesn't need aeration.

Great product. Poor packing.
This dye does a great job. We've been using it for years. Our only issue is in the packaging. On the last order we received the outside bag was open and because the individual bags are water dissolvable, they were a mess. The product is still great but packaging needs improvement.

Super concentrated ware gloves or you will look like a Smurf
Great product I mainly got this for my pond/ water feature it’s about 750 gallons I used 1 cap full. It was way to much. for fountains use an eye dropper or you can really over due it works well to keep the algae out.

It worked, but....
I live on central Virginia with a half-acre pond that's both spring and creek fed. It also has two overflow pipes. Like all ponds here, they have an ugly brown color. I used the pond dye as directed, but it turned the pond green, not blue. That was better than brown, but it made it look like there was an algae bloom. The next day we had some heavy rainfall and the pond tuned back to brown. I suspect that the overflow pipes allowed enough water to escape to dilute the dye. I might try again after the rainy season ends, but this isn't a very good solution (no fault of the product).

Works fast. Add sparingly.
I added 1/2 cup to a 6000 square foot pond that averages 5 feet deep. The picture was two hours later with little wind. This stuff works fast. The fish are not bothered. I like it but may add a little less dye on the next dose. It will take a day or so for the process to complete but so far, so good.

Much better then other brands I’ve tried.
This stuff works amazing. I have a 1/3 acre pond and bought one container and used a third of it as it says it treats a full acre. I was shocked at how fast it dyed the entire pond. And the reflections are stunning. I highly recommend vs some other brands out there.

The Best Pond Product Ever
I have a dug out small pond with no liner. This is the ONLY product that has seemed to work.

Pond dye
Was kind of surprised when pond did not keep blue color except for a week. I hate to give a bad review but this product did not do as shown.
