PlayTape Road Tape for Toy Cars - Sticks to Flat Surfaces, No Residue; 30 ft. x 4 in. Asphalt Road

This is absolutely THE BEST! My grandson is in love with cars and trucks and I was using blue painters tape to draw out roads for him on my kitchen bar (it is round and great for playing). I ordered this when I saw it (it also comes in railroad track design) and I am so pleased. You can cut it for whatever size you want, take it up when you are finished, roll it up and reuse it over and over and over again. After much use, sometime an edge doesn't want to stick, I just tape it down and then recut that piece later. You can put items such as books under the tape to make "hills or bridges" - it really sticks well but also comes up easily. When we have taped over books to make hills or bridges, the tape comes off the book easily without tearing the book cover. It does stick very well and does not come untaped during use. This tape comes in two sizes, depending on the size cars your little one will be using. We use legos or cardboard boxes to make tunnels - you can make "exits" as well - so versatile. If can become a bit wrinkled after being taken up and put down so much, but you can just pull one end up and straighten it - similar to what you would do with shelf paper or wall paper. The product is durable - it doesn't tear easily - you can put it down and take it up and it does not tear - neither does it tear when cars or trucks are "driven" over it. This product lends itself to fantastic creativity - I love products that don't involve digital/video/etc - this sticks well, comes up well, allows your child to do "old-fashioned" play. We have had our tape - both sizes and the railroad design for quite a while. I still have quite a bit of tape on the roll that hasn't been used because it holds up so well - we just keep reusing what we have already cut! This has to be one of my all time favorite toy items and one that I will be sharing as gifts to others!

Perfect temporary road to keep cars off of my coffee table. Easy to put on and take off. Made of thin plastic with a sticky adhesive back. If you mess up it pulls off easily to reposition. I was going to make my own with contact paper but then I found this perfect product and saved myself a lot of time and work. Worth it! Applied with matching corners sold separately.

The Play Tape is made of paper and tears. It comes in a roll and it seemed that our roll might have gotten hot at some point because it was very difficult to pull out. It stuck to itself and would tear. We contacted InRoad Toys and they sent us a new roll which has worked fine. We felt InRoad Toys was very responsive and appreciated their prompt reply. The self-adhesive does make it easy to apply. We used this for our HO scale train layout. The curves we received are really too tight but worked well. We are able to pull the tape up and reposition it which is very helpful.

Purchased for a 6 year old boy to use with all of his matchbox vehicles. He designed his imaginary town’s road and rail system, set up road signs, and was glued to his play for days of rainy day fun. He applied the tape to wooden floors and when time to pull up his roads the tape left no residue. He decided to play in front of their home’s entrance, thus the reason for eventually pulling up the roads. The wider 4” tape allows for play with larger small vehicles. I will definitely purchase the tape and accessories again because it did not require adult supervision, allowed the child to create as he wished, used all of his play vehicles in his imaginary town, and provided hours/days of imaginary play. A child can make their creation as basic or complicated as they desire. Good price point for the reasons stated above.

It was great! It was used for moose races on a table. It worked out so well. I wish I had taken pictures of it.

SO THIN IT TEARS......DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY...THE CARS WHEELS WENT RIGHT THREW IT...SENT IT BACK..AND DIDN'T STAY STICKY LONG

This tape is surprisingly thin and tears easily. It doesn't work very well on my son's rug. He's making due, but would prefer if it was thicker. I realize now it says "sticks to flat surfaces". It sticks to the rug, but because it's so thin, it crinkles easily. I got a roll of 3" brown tape that looks like a gravel road and is even a bit textured. It is thick and works great for his farm set! This is just not heavy enough for a farm kid and his tractors.

The media could not be loaded. I redid my son‘s room for his birthday. I saw this and thought it would make a perfect border to go around his room. It was super easy to put on the wall being the perfectionist I am I had to undo it and redo it a few times and it didn’t get less sticky. So far none of it has peeled off. I had the perfect amount to do half of this room, with one roll, which is what all I needed. Would definitely recommend if you’re doing a similar project or could use it for playtime!!
