Don't listen to the whiners who complain about it not fitting in the charger while it is on. It is mentioned in the write-up, and would be impossible to produce efficiently to be able to do this. It only takes a second to slip it off and another second to slip back on after charging. Then you are good for a few days. How lazy can people get...what do they buy? prechewed food.It keeps the remote clean, and protects the remote from greasy fingers (I like to eat while I am watching tv .... not prechewed food). It would be ridiculous to assume it could be any more than light protection for dropping etc. It would make the remote dysfunctional to put bulk on it.My suggestion to you.....don't drop it!

The broken english in one of the item photos attempts to warn of this, but I want to emphasize that the remote does NOT fit in the charging cradle with the protector attached. That by itself should be a non-starter. In hindsight, it shouldn't be a surprise; the design of the charging cradle pretty much precludes compatibility with anything like this.Further, the protector is so thin that I doubt it would protect against anything beyond scratches. You certainly can't drop the remote from a non-trivial distance. Still, the protector is thick enough to really make it difficult to use the buttons and screen on the remote.

Adds great protection since these remotes are not made any more. Fits very nice without covering the backlit buttons.

As many other reviews state, you cannot charge this with the skin on, that's not a deal-breaker for me because I cannot charge my cellphone on its wireless pad without taking the case off so I'm use to taking cases off for the charge. The best thing about this asking that trumps all other asking out there is that i allows for the lights on your buttons to be displayed. There are no other skins out there that do this, all the others cover the buttons. The buttons on this remote light up when in use and this helps me when I watch movies in the dark. All the other skins cover the buttons and that's useless for me. So, I will keep taking off the asking just to charge it until they come out with a new skin that doesn't cover the lighted buttons. 5 stars!!

I just wanted something to take the edge off the blow if someone drops this remote... too expensive. Also I’m not crazy about the texture of the back of the remote and like the feel of this cover much better.The remote came with a charging station that it won’t fit in with the cover on. HOWEVER it also came with a usb cable that works just fine with the cover on. Just pop out the plug and charge it that way. No worries.

Looks good, fits great except for when you out it on the charging block, it just straight doesnt fit. Give and take I guess, cant win everything, just as Hillary Clinton. Haha. Sorry, couldnt resist. Lol

I should have read the reviews.This item could be good if a version comes out that doesn't cover the part that goes in to the charging dock. As is not really worth using.

Its perfect but the fact the it doesn't fit the charging hub hence the two less stars.had to cut around the bottom area to get it to fit.
