AMOLEN’s Kingfisher Rainbow Silk PLA is hands down one of the most stunning filaments I’ve ever used. The color transitions are smooth and vibrant — from deep blues and greens to gold and red, it looks like your prints were dipped in metallic light. The silky finish gives everything a polished, professional appearance right off the bed with zero post-work needed. It prints beautifully, too. The filament fed cleanly, no tangles, and adhered perfectly to the bed. I ran it at 205°C on the nozzle and 60°C on the bed, and the layer bonding came out strong with minimal stringing. The rainbow effect looks best on taller or larger prints where the gradient has room to show off — perfect for vases, statues, and display models.

Great quality, beautiful prints

Kingfisher Rainbow is one of my all-time favorite filaments. I am a repeat purchaser of it and have yet to have issues with it. It comes vacuum sealed and always prints evenly and beautifully with zero clogging or brittleness, even right out of the package with no drying time. As a silk filament, it can be a little more fragile if used for the wrong prints, but it has held up well in the items I have used it for. I haven't had adhesion problems with it. The beauty and dimension it gives to prints really justifies the cost so overall this filament is a great value.

I love the colors and how it prints, wish they would make the spools a little wider to be more compatible with all filament systems. A lot of issues in the CFS due to the rolls being too narrow. I run cool plates and the adhesion is good. Running small fine prints it can be a little brittle. I would suggest drying the filament as it can string a bit at 45-50% humidity.

This filament is white when hot and orange when cold, which means every single thing I print looks like it’s having an existential crisis in reverse. Printed a tiny ghost. Fresh off the bed: pure angelic white, practically glowing with innocence. Five minutes later, room temperature hits and BAM, traffic-cone orange. It went from “boo” to “BOO, I’M A CONSTRUCTION BARRIER.” I have never been more proud. Printed a phone stand. At room temp it’s brighter than a safety vest at Burning Man. Put my phone on it after a long gaming session (phone hot, stand touches phone, stand instantly bleaches to ghost-white). Now my desk looks like my phone just performed an exorcism on the stand. My coworkers think I’m into some weird tech witchcraft. Accidentally left an articulated dragon on the windowsill in December. Woke up to a frozen, furious tangerine dragon glaring at me like I personally invented winter. Ten minutes near the space heater and it went full albino. The dragon has trust issues now. Five stars. My prints went from basic to “emotionally unstable construction equipment” and I’ve never felt more seen.

Great filament quality! No problems with moisture. Printed great minis a few tangles that required me to closely watch my print. Overall not too bad of a product.

I love the vibrant color, bed adhesion was great. Only problem was there were multiple tangles in the roll that caused failed prints. Maybe I just got a bad roll?
