How long does it take to dry before being able to use it again?

I usually place this onto a radiator to dry it quicker. If it's soaking it can take up to 20 to 30 minutes to dry. If only lightly wet about half that.

how small can this fold up? Would it be suitable to take on holiday?

Do the pens come in the box?

No the mat and the pen are both in 1 big box, there is only 1 pen shaped like an egg with a fabric tip, you fill it with water, wait a few seconds for the top to absorb then draw water to mat, the mat produces several colours automatically. We have bought this for our 1 year old, am sure he will find it mesmerising and we like the pen shape simply for safety.

The one I ordered in May came in the box. I wonder if COVID caused a problem.
