Received this product yesterday and opened it right away. We had been struggling with an older battery powered sharpener that I've had since college (about 12 years) for awhile now and I had finally had enough. I didn't realize this one was a plug in, but that's fine. Very cute looking and a little larger than I thought it would be measuring about 4.5" x 4". My kids loved it right away. It's very stable with suction cup feet on the bottom. There is a toggle switch on the top back that you change the level of pointiness that you want, very easy to use. Just stick the pencil in and hold it still with slight pressure and the sharpener does the rest. You do not have to pull the pencil out to check if it's done, the sharpener stops automatically! This really works! The sharpening mechanism has a different sound than any I've ever heard, maybe the "helical blade"? And it's more quiet than our last one. The pencils come out perfect! We've only had a couple of leads break/fall off right after sharpening out of probably 20. The kids can use it, ages 3 and 6, with no worry that they will sharpen our pencils down to nothing (because it stops the sharpening when done) and they like that they can use it for their colored pencils whenever they want. The shavings bin is easy to pull out and empty. I would recommend and buy again!

I really loved it. Super cute. My students do not have free access to it, but they do get to use it. They were very excited to try it. I was just sharpening a new pack of pencils. A tip broke off in the sharpener and now it will not work at all, and I cannot get into it to try to fix it. I am a few days past my return window. Extremely disappointed. When it worked, it was great. I will not buy another one. I can’t waste my budget on something that cannot last. Feb 2026: After messing with the adjustment that you set for how sharp you want your pencil, the stuck piece came out and the sharpener started to work again. We have had the sharpener for a year now, and it is working great. So, if something gets stuck, slide the adjustment to different settings to release it.

I have this sharpener in my high school English classroom, so it’s used extensively throughout the day. It is THE BEST pencil sharpener I’ve ever had (20+ years of teaching). In fact, I have some students come to my room to use it instead of the one in their current classroom. I suppose some teachers might not like that outcome! Students tend to break my sharpeners because they’re not careful, but this one has lasted. It has an auto stop when the pencil is sharp, and it gets super sharp very quickly. It works well with colored pencils, which surprised me because the sharpener is small-ish. Students have mixed emotions about stabbing a panda in the eye with a pencil, but I think it’s hilarious.

Love that you sharpen in the eye! Dark Obsessions aside, the quality is actually good. Nice point, stops automatically when sharp. A point worthy of poking your eye out! (there's that dark side again) No, seriously, really nice sharpener so far. Cute and I especially LOVE the suction cups. Did I mention the suction cups? Awesome! Worth the $$...

Im handicapped so an automatic pencil sharpener seemed like a no brainer, but this particular one stopped working the 2nd day I used it. I may have sharpened 6 total before it abruptly stopped. I tried cleaning it but to no avail. Needless to say I won't be getting this replaced just a refund.

Great quality! Pricier than what we wanted to pay for a pencil sharpener but my 5 year old loves it and it motivates it to keep writing so it’s a win for all of us!
