The House of Hydro Mist Maker Kit (Mist Maker, Transformer, Float, 3 Replacement Discs)

This is my third kit I have the larger system from the same company I've made homemade humidifiers out of them when my kids get sick hook and it works better than any humidifier you could buy within the $500 range all you need is a humidistat

I use this for plant propagation (Fogponics). This unit creates an excellent mist. It has lasted longer than others I have used. Will be ordering more from this seller as they ship quickly and packaging is very good.

I ordered one of there misters. And it looks and feels like a really solid product. But I had a problem with the cord I emailed House of Hydro and was surprised how fast, polite and professional they were. They totally worked with me to fix the problem. I can’t recommend them enough I’d give them more stars if I could. Overall great product great customer service can’t ask for more. I will definitely go back to them as my hobby grows.

I originally purchased this for a simple 5 gallon "tent" humidifier I was building for my plant room. I wanted to use the materials I already had rather than buying an expensive and hard to clean commercial humidifier. I was also getting interested in a form of Aeroponics that used ultrasonic foggers rather than finicky high or low pressure sprayers. I built this thing with the intention of converting it to a fogponic tank in the future. For that I needed a fogger more rugged than the typical pond fogger which often had lights. This one from the House of hydro seemed to be the answer. It had no lights and was well sealed. It came with 3 extra teflon coated ceramic disks. I have not had to replace any yet. The single emitter is tiny but powerful. It works submerged but works best with the included float. Paired with a downdraft fan, it pushed an impressive amount of vapor through a corrugated pipe to the base of my plants. However this device also produced a stream of course droplets that in containers smaller than 3 gallons spattered water everywhere so a 3 to 5 gallon bucket is preferable especially when using the float. In contrast to the good build of the emitter the power supply design leaves much to be desired. The heavy transformer is at the end of a long, thin and rather fragile cord. How fragile I discovered when the strain relief broke threatening to snap the cable from the transformer. I repaired it in time with hot glue and electrical tape but a break like that could have caused a shock and fire hazard. Worse the plastic housing started to separate at the seam when I pulled the plug from the power strip. Again I patched it with electrical tape and now have a heavy duty extension so I can unplug the fogger from the pump timer rather than from the transformer. Something that heavy should have been mounted inline like a laptop power supply. Also it can get hot if run for more than 20 minutes so a timer is a must.

Works much better than previous mist makers I've gotten, and no corrosion.Shipping was fast (even without prime).Compared to the AGPTEK mist makers, this one:+ Has no corrosion even after a month of running it (AGPTEK did)+ The original ceramic disc is still working great (one of the AGPTEK cracked in less than a month)+ Comes with extra discs and a tool to remove the disc+ Larger surface area than the AGPTEK+ Float works great, less expensive in this combo pack, works much better than the one I tried to make myself out of just styrofoam.I'll update the review if I run into any problems, but as of yet, I'll never buy AGPTEK again, and stick to house of hydro, even with non prime shipping

The media could not be loaded.  I have a 4x4 grow tent, and spent $150 on a humidifier that I needed to refill every day and what a pain in the butt that is. So I decided to buy this. I think I spent $100 on this set up, and almost never have to fill it. And when I do its super easy to do

Well I am torn because as i love that it floats, can be used in any size reservoir, and has spare disc. but my cheap 10mm ceramic disc 1 gallon cool mist humidifier puts out double the mist.
