So Far,....Satisfied
Welp, finally pulled the trigger on this... I spent alot of time researching this, the 5 star shaver shaper, and the Andis shaver. I was getting my haircut every week at $20 a pop and my haircut was essentially shaving my head. Love the experience of the barber shop but also wanted to save a few bucks. A couple barbers in the shop use the shaver shaper (red) and I was initially looking at that one but decided to try the Finale. I'm satisfied with my purchase. I've used it probably about 10 times now and no issues with performance or cut quality. The only complaint I would have (if you could call it a complaint...) would be the lack of customer service from Wahl. Kicking down almost $100 for this, I want to make sure I'm cleaning it with the right products and the instructions are pretty vague. There is a tutorial online however it doesn't tell you the specific products that are being used for cleaning or lubrication in the video from Wahl. I emailed Wahl twice and received no response either time. I've just been using the Wahl Total Care spray and seems to work fine. I will say in the initial research of this product, I saw some negative reviews with regards to the foil and cut quality with longer hair growth. The best advice I could give is.... let the shaver do the work. It doesnt require alot of pressure to get the stubble to skin level. Keep in mind that if your hair is longer than stubble (maybe 4 days growth) you going to have to make more passes to get down to the skin. If you're cutting stubble, it cuts really good. With regards to the foil quality... the foil is really thin which is needed for a close cut. I personally haven't had an issue with the foil breaking yet and after 10 uses it appears to be in pretty good condition. You just have to be a little gentle when cleaning it and dont use hard pressure when using it and itll work great.

I shave my head with these.
I recently (3 months ago) began shaving my head bald. It started with using my clippers with no guard. About 20 minutes later I bought a Gillete Fusion razor and shaved all of it off. I'm glad I don't have an ugly head. I was the third child so I probably just fell out without much head squeezing. Anyway, my skin can't tolerate being shaved every day. My OCD can't handle having a scraggly head a day after I shave. I read some reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos before deciding on these. I'm telling you, these things work. I'm white with thick straight hair. I don't get ingrown hairs often at all. I don't get bumps unless I shave every day, then it's just red irritation. I use these every other day on my entire head. My head doesn't get irritated and it shaves it short enough to where it feels soft and smooth when I'm done. I can also put a shirt on over my head without it getting stuck on my head. Any dude who shaves their head knows about this problem. You go to put a dry-fit type shirt on and you end up looking like a fool because the little tiny hairs on your head grab the fabric. Nah, son. Not with these. I've used the same foil head and clippers that came with it for the past 3 months and they are still going strong. No extra heat and no irritation. I bought a back up set of foil/blade to replace but I haven't needed to swap yet. Use the directions or watch a video. Don't push these on your head. Let the tool do the job. It takes some time because it's foil. Rotary head would be faster (like Pitbull/Norelco) but foil does the job. Hope this helps. Hit me up with any questions and I'll try to answer.

So far so good UPDATED!
Let me preface my review with the fact that I have only had this razor for a couple of weeks. I've used it exactly 3 times. My barber recommended it, and has used this exact razor on my head previously.Which leads me to the next fact. I shave my head with this razor. I have a hairstyle that is shaved on the sides and back of my head. The best part of this razor is that it only cuts stubble. You can edge up your style, without cutting the longer hairs.Quality? This thing absolutely shaves as close as a disposable blade razor. No difference, other than no razor burn!I cannot speak to the durability of the foil, as some others have had it fail prematurely. I would assume that at least some of the reason for that is improper use. I'll give this razor a couple of months and update my review if needed...UPDATE - I bought this razor in January of 2021. Its July 2021, and I just purchased my first replacement blade/foil. This razor has far exceeded my expectations. I shave my head, and around my beard with this. It does a fine job of getting close without irritation. I did discover that when it starts to cause "Razor burn" its time for a new blade/foil. Highly recommend!

Barber approved miracle worker
I am a licensed barber and these have been my go-to for years! I use them for a little bit of everything: bald fades, face shaves, neck hair, even to sharpen neck lines! It's important to understand how they work. The hair must be at a 0 (short stubble) or closer to work as intended. I usually prepare the area by using a clipper with no guard or a trimmer since they can cut closer if u don't zero gap your clippers. These shavers are a great alternative to traditional shaving since they prevent irritation to the skin, just make sure the skin is clean and if you are particularly sensitive, go with the grain. Battery life is very good especially considering I use them for long periods of time. Best part is the charger is compatible with the Wahl magic cordless clippers. The easiest way to clean these is blowing them out with come compressed air for keyboard dusting. Make sure not to use a bunch of pressure since the foils can be damaged that way. Finding replacement foils and blades are easy as well as installing them. Overall they are well worth the price and will get the job done flawlessly everytime.
