Great Optic!
I feel that the Browe family of optics is superior to the Trijicon ACOG because there is no tritium to wear out over a 10 year lifespan, which is why I choose it.The product feels light, but solid. I had a little bit of a problem opening the battery port, but I used a rubber jar opener to get a better grip on it. The unit shipped with a battery already installed, and a spare battery. Both are Surefire SF123A (CR123) batteries. Also included was a lens pen with a dry pad for the glass and a lens brush. The unit is packed in a custom built Pelican shipping container, so it will be able to take the abuse of storage and shipping. The unit came on right out of the box and appears to be working correctly.Looking forward to take this to the range!UPDATE - JUNE 1, 2013:I ran into a small issue with the ARMS 17 lever (the locking lever broke). Browe quickly responded to my email request for service, and mailed a replacement the same day as it received the broken one (replacement was received in 2 days). I was given the option to replace it with another ARMS 17 lever, or with an American Defense Mount. I choose the AD mount, and I am very happy with it. It's a solid mount that fits perfectly. Much better in comparison to the ARMS 17 mount.Browe's support is FANTASTIC; clear communication, no hassles. I did pay for shipping to get the broken lever out, but they paid the postage to send the new one to me. Fair trade in my opinion. Now a word on outdoor range performance (200 rounds fired this day). Weather was very hot - 93F in full sun with 80% humidity.1. You will want to lock-tite the screw mounts that attach the scope to the mounting lever, whichever one you use. The American Defense quick detach mount doesn't require much adjustment to make it rock solid, so you only need small quarter turn to get it where it needs to be.2. The scope is designed for a very specific type of ammunition - in this model it is the US Govt. M855 62 grain 5.56 (.223) ammunition. I used what I had available (American Eagle Tactical 55 grain rounds). While they performed great at 25M for initial zero, I found they were 8-10" high at 100M. Once I re-zeroed for the 100M distance, groups tightened up. If you are going to use anything less than M855, I think your results will not meet your expectations.**If I had read the manual correctly in the first place, I would have known the procedure is to initial zero at 25M, then fine tune at 100M. RTFM folks!**3. The self adjusting Target Light Sensor Technology performed fantastic under bright light conditions switching to and from different color targets. At no time did I think the sight was too light or too dark or required manual adjustment. Having also used an EOTech 512 prior to the Browe, this auto adjust feature is a big plus (I felt I was constantly adjusting the EOTech which is a real pain when transitioning distances or colored backgrounds).4. The sight is designed to be used with BOTH eyes open. Be sure that you remind yourself to do just that if you have been a one-eyed scope shooter. This took a little adjustment on my part.5. There is only 37mm of eye relief on the scope, so if you feel like you are trying to park an eyeball inside it, you are just right. Just be aware of "scope bump" on your forehead (not that has n00b kinda stuff has EVER happened to me...)6. The fixed 4 power view is clear and defect free. No fuzzy edges, and since it forces your eye to focus on individual objects within it via the infinite focus design, there is no frustration with "fixing" focus issues. I had no problem transitioning my eyes to different ranges immediately within the scope.I'm looking forward to some faster 'combat style' rapid target acquisition training with the scope for IDPA or 3 gun competitions. Given what I encountered so far, I think it will perform as advertised, given you use the right ammunition.NOTE: I am NOT an employee or compensated spokesperson of Browe, but I damn sure am a fan of their product.

Great Optic
I have this mounted on my Daniel Defense DDM4. I must say I'm very impressed with this optic. It is one of the clearest optics I've used. I love the target light sensor since I don't have to adjust as it's automatically done. It holds zero like a champion once it's zeroed in. I'm pretty rough on my AR and shoot it a ton. I would highly recommend this scope if you have the money.
