Great Phone
Love everything about this phone. As a warehouse worker I am pretty hard on my phones and I was always dropping the and cracking the screens. But this one lives up to being called rugged. Also because I work 10hr days the battery last me all day. If a had any complaints it's that the weight is a tad bit much but other than that it is weel worth the money.

Tried to give this the benefit of the doubt...but never again.
My previous Samsung Note 10 is getting old and I've pretty much had it since 2019. It still works perfectly fine with the only issue with it being old is the battery doesn't hold it's charge as long and the back plate is starting to lose its adhesion. So I shopped around for a new phone to replace it but at the time I didn't have the budget to buy the newer Samsung phone I was looking at. And that was how I ended up landing on the Oukitel WP55 Pro 5G Rugged smartphone. The main thing that sold me on it was the ruggedness and the large battery capacity and the seemingly good specs. But that's where the good stuff ends. Below are all the issues I've had with it after using it for 3 months: Pros 1. Very long battery life 2. Rugged, and the build seems durable. Cons 1. The camera and video recording capabilities of this phone is not very good and the built in camera software/app is terrible. My 2019 Samsung Note 10 easily blows it out of the water when it comes to photos and videos. 2. The speaker on this thing is finicky and not very good. Sometimes when I put calls on speaker the volume gets loud....but other times no matter how high I raise the volume, it doesn't get louder....really annoying when I'm trying do a group call with the phone with people around me in the office. When the speakers do get loud, it gets loud ..but not in a pleasant sounding way. It gets very ear-piercingly ringy and too tinny (imagine a cheap whistle..blowing hard and that high-end whistle noise just making your ears ring like you have tinnitus), which tells me how cheap the speakers are. 3. My antivirus/anti-malware detected several built-in apps on the phone and told me they were malicious and were tracker-type malware. I've used this same security app on my older phone and and it didn't have any issues with it. I had to remove all of the flagged bad-actors from this Oukitel device and replace them with trusted ones from the Google app store instead (this was a big red flag for me). 4. The charging is already acting up. When I use the charger it comes with, it starts doing the charging prompt but it keeps glitching out and it keeps acting like I plugged it in, unplugged it, plugged it back in, etc over and over in 1 second increments. I have to now use my other Samsung charger for it to charge normally. 5. The Bluetooth keeps randomly disconnecting. I would have the phone connected to my car's BT or I'll be listening to music or watching videos with my BT headset and it would just randomly disconnect and then reconnect after 2 seconds. It would do it have a dozen times through the whole day on a bad day. My old Note 10 has not done that ever. 6. The fingerprint sensor positioning sucks. It's on the right side of the phone and it's where I naturally would rest my fingers to hold the phone so I keep accidentally triggering it or turning off my screen because I accidentally also press down on it as I'm holding the phone. It's an inconvenience. It's also progressively gotten worse already and sometimes can't detect my fingerprints even though I've registered multiple angles and orientation of my fingerprints on the device. 7. Even though it says and shows it has 48gb of ram (16gb + 32gb virtual), it somehow feels laggy even compared to my old Note 10. It also supposedly has a 120hz fhd display but I've seen absolutely terrible frame rates on this thing even when just scrolling through YouTube (i.e. when I scroll left and right across my subscriptions, the icon scrolling looks like the frame rate is at 20 fps.) It's weird. It would start off fine and smooth and then it would just drop the frame rate for absolutely no reason. 8. Playing music either through the phone speaker (highly NOT recommend) or using your BT speaker or headphones --- this phone has been doing this to me regularly .... While listening to something and the phone goes into idle mode and turns off the screen, the audio starts lagging and breaking up. I've gone through the settings to ensure background app running is enabled and the phone is set to high performance mode and it still does it. 9. Phones gets hot really fast when doing heavy workloads on it that makes the processor work hard. Playing mobile games on it gets this thing hot pretty quickly. 10. A lot of the features and built-in things that came with the phone are all subpar and lacking. Things I took for granted like having the ability to change how much the volume goes up or down by doesn't exist on this phone by default. Imagine a volume bar of 0-100. This thing seems to go in increments of 10 or 15. And I can't manually drag the volume bar with my finger because it would just "snap" to that volume range no matter how precise I try to move it around. On my Samsung, I can set it to go in increments of 1 pip and I can be very precise with the volume. Bottom line, I'll keep using this phone until it either dies or I end up getting frustrated enough that I test how truly rugged it is by releasing all my anger towards it and breaking it. You get what you pay for indeed. I wouldn't recommend getting these cheap Chinese brand phones. I gave this the benefit of the doubt hoping with better tech nowadays maybe, just maybe, these cheaper non mainstream brands would be decent. But they always never deliver.
