Hopefully the smell goes away once it gets aired out. It says approved for potable water use. Looks good and fair price.

I purchased this to make my dehumidifier continuously drain. The size was just a touch smaller then recommended in the instructions for the brand/model I had, but I couldn't find the exact suggested size tubing. Going with a slightly smaller tube, I was intending to heat up the end and push it over the drain port on the dehumidifier. It was malleable enough to push on fine and does not leak. I cut to length. Has been working great since it was installed!
