Easy to fit and does the job

Good quality and best choice for indoor privacy it just needs some tools to install or professional help

Whilst it was easy to install - the internal mechanism on the inner side of the handle has a larger diameter - thus if you replacing a standard door handle ... be prepared to widen the hole a little (I only needed about 4 mm increase in diameter).Once that was done - it slotted in nice and flush to the door and the actual fitting is sturdy.There is some movement in the handle itself - and whilst this does not affect the locking feature ... I would have hoped this part to be a bit more sturdy.What I mean by this - is that once you lock the door. There is about 10-15 mm play (movement) in the handle (taking the measurement from the end of the handle) up and down....which gives the feeling of being a little flimsy.However, this does not affect the locking mechanism - that part DOES NOT move.. which is the main thing.Other than that - it is nice looking and should work for my intended use and good price too!

I've installed the handle perfectly and am well experienced in handy man work, the lock keeps getting stuck which is dangerous as I'll have to break down the door to get out which costs alot more than this cheap lock, I have purchased this item in the past and it worked well for a long time, but now instead of raising the price, they have cut corners and have made the item itself cost less to make. I would much rather pay more for a WORKING door handle with lock!I'm returning the item and am angry that I have already cut out the holes in my door that will hopefully fit another type of handle...

Overall this product is quite good. Once fitted on, it’s a very sturdy handle. Very easy to lock and unlock. The only problem I had was putting the door handle on, maybe that’s because I’m not good with stuff like that but the instructions could’ve been clearer. Don’t regret buying though.

Fitted it myself and it is very fit for purpose

Honestly, getting the old ones off wheer they had been painted round numerous times was the 2nd worst part of this installation! The worst part was trying to make the correct size hole in the door for the mechanism to go through! If you door, like the one I was fitting to, has an old, simple handle that screws into the face of the door, rather than screwing through, the likelihood is that the hole won't be large enough. Without the centre wood to hold the hole-saw, making a larger hole is a pain!However, once that was done, the lock was installed in just a few minutes and worked a treat. I've fitted similar in the past, and this one feels a little cheaply made, but for where it's being used (an adult's bedroom to keep out nosey children) it's fine. No lock in that situation would stop a heavy shoulder, so keep that in mind, but otherwise highly recommended.

We put this on our bedroom to stop a teenage shopper! Works great! Would be good for a WC door also as you could always get in if you need to.Took a couple of goes to figure out you turn the key, return to the neutral position and then remove the key.If you have a door handle already installed may be tricky to make the handle hole bigger as they need quite a large hole for the mechanism to work and the drill bits work better if you don’t have a hole already there.You can lock it from the inside but the key will always open it, so if your hiding all sure you have all the keys with you!
