A different level of raw rustic construction than you see in India made small boxes. Fairly well made though considering everything. A bit of glue showing and some gapping here and there on the trim however the base case was solid and they closed fair and flush. I trimmed the lips flat again because the stain made the raw edge of the plywood raise grain then repainted that part black to hide the ply layers of the endgrain. They were wrapped in thin foam, one piece around the five. It said assortment, it showed five different styles and I hoped to get at least three different styles by ordering five. I got four of the finer pattern gold tone, and one of the coarser pattern gold tone. So I took one star. I did get the quality I expected for the price. They took a LONG time to come but came within the timeframe suggested. I retrofitted them with foam and fabric headliner and insert to hold jewelry. I marked lower on giftable because I had to do some refinish and rework before I could do so. They are a rustic unlined little box that with a fitting of an insert will hold 2 rings, a pair of earrings, a pendant, etc. I added dark cotton velour over scrap upholstery foam and stuck commercially sold cast metal slingrings in them, one of the smaller simpler ones fits it well.

Even tho I returned the treasure chests, I would order them again. I ordered them to take on my trip to Georgia but they were late and I had a plane to catch. I ended up buying 2 treasure chests in Georgia and we buried them on a beach for my 2 grandsons to find with metal detectors. Huge success. I had reordered the chests to be delivered to my daughters house but was sent someone else’s order (a dog treat and a scrub brush) If your looking for a little treasure chest, these were cute and pretty sturdy. I just wish I got them in time.

although I returned these because they were too small for the item I wanted to put in them, I wanted to write a quick review because they were beautiful little boxes. Nice quality and functional. wish I could have used them.

What I loved: It's adorable and well-made and cute as a button! What I wasn't crazy about: the looooong wait to get it, but in the end I would definitely buy a million of these for gifts because they are so great looking, the price is terrific, and who can't use a little box for little things? This style of color and design would go well with just about any type of interior design and what's not to like? I am quite impressed with the level of craftmanship and the lock bracket on the front is a really classy little touch. You will not be disappointed with this little box I assure you. Good things come to those who wait for them!!

The only thing I don’t like, the hinges are a bit crooked but other than that, it works for what I need it for. Price was right. Pretty sturdy and I like the lock. I wish it was a little bigger but not a deal breaker.

The box seems really cheap. Clumsy won’t work for what I want, but fiancé wants it for a ring box so either way someone in your house will like. It
