MSA V-Gard Full-Brim Hard Hat with Suspension - Polyethylene Shell, Superior Impact Protection and Self Adjusting Crown Straps - Standard Size Hard Hat

I replaced my Bullard full brim hard hat with this MSA full brim hard hat and glad that I did. This MSA Full Brim Hard Hat is the best and most comfortable hard hat I have ever owned! I wear this hard hat around our grain drying operation and farming operations and hardly leave the office without it on my head now. I even carry it with me in my truck. Very comfortable and I like it because they offer earmuffs for this hard hat, that's not an option found on other full brim models, and they pop on and off in no time so I can use them when I want them and take them off when I don't need them. The MSA Fas-Trac III suspension is great and adjust to your head, I sometimes have to wear a full face respirator and this hard hat works great with that also. Very satisfied and when my other guys Bullard full brim hard hats need replaced they will get replaced with the MSA Full Brim V-Guard with Fas-Trac III suspension also! Besides the ear muffs I also purchased the extra sweat bands, these will be great for summer use. That is one complaint I had about the Bullard hard hat was that the sweat band did not come out and it was hard to clean. I have nothing bad to say about My new MSA Full Brim hard hat with Fas-Trac III suspension, it's great!

Great Value for the price. Imagine a large bolt that was dropped from a few stories up hits you. The bolt veered off the left side of a person's hat and the full brim deflected the bolt off to the left side of the person. It was not a small bolt! The impact was so little it was described as if a ping pong ball hit the hat. But the concrete had a chunk taken out of it. This bolt would have gone into the top of the shoulder or the person's head if not for that hard hat. This is a very old story but very true and explains why hat hats with a full brim are needed. No one was in the work area above where this bolt fell from, and the bottom area was not cautioned off. If you listen to some of the stories of those hit with anything and those that died. The Full brim usually deflects many items that would have been detrimental. And there is usually never much harm done to them if any. Not just a hard hat but use a full brim. It also drips any water or snow from all the way around you. When you must complete a serious item.

exactly as advertised - good for the price the inner lining is not super comfortable though. Good for visitor hats or people that aren’t wearing it all day.

I hat hard hats. They're usually heavy and uncomfortable but we only have one noggin! MSA has, IMO, always had most comfortable harness on their hard hats. Some of there models can be a little heavy, but MSA harness are designed for all day comfort. Most hard hat harness will give me a tension headache after about an hour of wearing it. MSA won't start that till near end of day. My V-Guard full brim is pretty lightweight as far as most hard hats go. Hi-viz green option is very noticeable. I've gotten a lot of comments saying my hard hat is "bright." Really good quality and inexpensive.
