This book is an inspired and brilliant tool to help you to tackle the deep issues affecting all relationships and to help build healthier ones. It is also, in my opinion, the start of a revolution. The use of control and manipulation is so deeply entrenched in Western culture that most of the time it seems to us to be utterly appropriate and reasonable. We were likely all raised by parents, taught by teachers, pastored by ministers and governed by politicians who believed that it was their duty to control us. Whether it was used with subtlety and within the parameters of the law, or whether it was outrageously abusive, control and manipulation have sunk their teeth into our deepest and most treasured parts and are actually ripping the heart out of our God-dreamed, God-given, God-paid for freedom to be who we are and let others do the same. This book is wonderful, but it's not for the faint-hearted. Personally, it has set me on a journey to change. I suspect it is going to take some time to even come close to where I would like to be, but I am so grateful and would whole-heartedly recommend both the book and the journey.

God changed my life through this book, one chapter at a time. From marital strife towards healthy connection. If you liked 'Love and Respect' then you will love this. If i had a pound for everytime i said 'that's so true' or 'that's me!' then i would be rich enough to buy hundreds of these books and i would give them out on the streets! This book details such vital connection and communication tools that every human should know, yet in a way that is so simple to understand. It leaves you thinking 'how have i survived this long without knowing this stuff!'. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, Christian or not, male, female, young, old, married, single who wants to keep their love on no matter what! Danny Silk on top form. This is the most powerful relationship book I have ever read.I experienced different types of abuse as a child and so as an adult my relationships have all been really messed up.Danny has given me the skills to openly communicate my needs to another, using the language of respect. He teaches how to rescue a difficult conversation and even more important than that, I have now realised that I don’t have to tolerate disrespect from others (even if they are my nearest and dearest). No respect means no conversation!I am definitely Committed to emerging as a more powerful person within my relationships, having read this.Thank you so much Danny! 🙏🏾

My husband and I have been Danny and Sheri's fans since we became parents and realised kids had brains. This book is every bit as helpful... If you are married, parents, pastors, leaders or you are just related to someone: this book is a must read. It is practical and challenging, and helps to shape and grow love and self control. You can hear The Holy Spirit through Danny's words and you will be inspired and empowered to reach for more in your relationships by Keeping Your Love On.I am already applying what i am learning to difficult pastoring situations, personal relationships, parenting and to my marriage to grow in love, freedom and connection. It is a must read.

I really enjoyed this book and it had a lot of very good thoughts and wisdom. I however have some reservations about the concept of being powerful and I'm uncertain as to whether this is just about semantics - for power read authority or whether it is a very subtle deception as power is what we want as humans and is very dangerous. God wants us to be strong but strong in Him, in Jesus, not in ourselves. I would be interested in the views of others.

This book is amazing. I just got it 2 days ago and I am already half way through with it and I keep on underlining almost everything.It's like a personal sozo..it makes you stop and think if the environment you grew up in was right and then you pray into it and get set free from mindsets you had no idea they were wrong and destructive. So glad I got this book..I am already recommending it to all of my friends.Felt so good today to have the answers how to deal with T-Rexes lol..this book is revolutionary and it'll change the way we do life and relationships. Amazing book. Challenging, but inspiring. Danny's style of writing is to the point but also very funny. This book I believe will bring hope to anyone who is going through difficulty in their relationships that it is possible for them to be restored and healed. It brings a lot of perspective into relationships especially for those in ministry, showing boundaries to set so that our most important God given relationships don't suffer. I would thoroughly recommend this book to everyone, even those whose relationships are healthy, because it will help you to keep them that way. Love never fails!
