DHP Janford Upholstered Bed, Chic Grey Linen Platform Queen Bed with Modern Headboard, Sturdy Wood and Metal Frame

This is one of the Best purchases that I have ever made from Amazon. I purchased this Bed (Headboard/Frame) for my Daughter’s Bedroom, to give the Room a more mature look, and Boy did I get it Right! She absolutely Loves everything about her Bedroom makeover, but the Bed really made the difference. I couldn’t believe the Price. It was only $119! I must admit I was a little skeptical, bc the price seemed too good to be true. I even took the item out of my Shopping Cart a few times to continue to shop around. I visited several Stores and OMG they were all overpriced. They wanted close to $500 for the exact same Bed. Different Color/Same Bed! In fact, I am sure they purchased the Beds right off of Amazon and jacked up the price. Needless to say, I finally decided to purchase the Bed from Amazon. The Bed is very Sturdy. The quality is top notch! My Husband said the Bed was easy to put together. We used the same Full Size Mattress and Box Spring that we already had and they fit perfectly. At first glance, I was a little disappointed with the Color, because I thought it would have been more of a Charcoal Color, but that was my fault. The Bed looks exactly like the picture and the Color is just as it is described to be...A Grey Linen! 🤣....It’s more of a mixture of Gray, Black, and Tan Threading. It’s different, but it looks great against the light Gray Wall. I am very satisfied with my Purchase.

This is a lovely piece of furniture for an amazingly reasonable price. The main reason for purchasing this practical Queen size platform bed is shown perfectly in the picture at the foot of the bed....nice smooth, clean, tapered edge with no pieces of metal jutting out to trip you in the dark and maim your shins for the next week. It’s very easy to assemble, my husband was able to complete it all on his own. The bed IS a bit higher than it was previously, but that is not a big deal. I’m 4’11” and I can jump up in the bed without any need of assistance. I highly recommend the purchase of this bed frame and headboard.

So it is actually my fault as I should've read the description better. I purchased this as it was 30$ less than a similar one- only I found out after assembling- it does not have slats :( I spent another $120 on slats that were supposed to fit and they didn't. Now I have to find and purchase a box spring which I didn't want as I have no way to pick up a box spring and don't care for them. I guess lesson learned to read the description better. So, yes this is nice and simple and easy to install if you have a mattress and box spring, disappointing if you expected slats lol

Great bed - 4 years later

I like the look of the bed but only the box spring fits really well. The mattress doesn't fit like it should but it's the same size of my mattress. Not sure why but I would recommend that you personally go out and buy the frame not online. I won't do online for something like this anymore.

Didn’t think it would work but it just as good as original

Update: I ended up buying the extra parts from the hardware store because going through the process to get extra washers from the manufacturer was more work as they make you jump through hoops. I wish I had read all the reviews before buying this bed. Someone had mentioned that the bed was not made well because the mattress overlaps and hangs off the bed. I purchased a 12” memory foam mattress for my guest room and a low profile box spring but even with the profile box spring, the mattress hangs off because the headboard prevents you from push the mattress back any further. Because it was driving me crazy, I decided to replace the box spring with wooden slats instead as it would only increase the height by about 1.5” instead of 5” but sure enough, there still isn’t enough clearance and the mattress hangs off of the bed. It’s funny because the pictures they provide show a box spring and mattress to where it fits perfectly which isn’t the case. If I end up moving, I’m definitely getting rid of this bed. Between the flaws, deceptive pictures, and the horrible service, I wouldn’t buy anything from them again. •••••• I bought this bed for my guest bedroom. The bed itself is good, it’s a basic/inexpensive bed but I’ll admit it’s better than other brands like zinus. There are a few downfalls as some other people have mentioned. The backing on the headboard is a cheap fabric held on using Velcro- not to mention the backing is too small so won’t line up right to the point where it will stay on securely. Second, the hardware set is painted black so many of the washers are stuck together. I had a total of 6 washers stuck together, I managed to force 2 apart but couldn’t get the other 4 apart. Even with the spare parts, there weren’t enough. As you flip through the instructions, they also clearly do not provide enough washers even if they didn’t stick together PLUS with the spares. The instructions state to call them directly with any problems, don’t return the item or call amazon. The person on the phone was a woman with a heavy Russian accent who seemed nice and told me I just had to reply to an email to get the spare parts which would be sent to me via UPS. sure, no problem. I finally had a chance to check my email and saw what they ask you- they want all of your order information, pictures of the sticker on the box as proof that you purchased it, pictures of ALL of the messed up pieces in different angles, etc. it was such a headache that I just decided to go to the hardware store and buy the pieces for less than $1 rather than deal with the headache.

Easy to assemble . Took me 3 hours . Just me. No help . Sturdy . No complains . Delivered in 3 days !

First of all, this bed has only THREE bars for the mattress. I've bought and assembled many beds, this one is by far the strangest. Three bars for the mattress means you must get a box spring. Because if you put a mattress on the three bars, the mattress will fold and you will sink into the ground. Second of all, if you have a "normal" sized mattress you have to measure the clearance for what size mattress can fit. We bought a regular sized box spring but the regular sized mattress would not fit and it would sit several inches longer at the top. Because the boxspring and mattress must fit UNDER the headboard. Thirdly, the base of the bed is way too big for a standard size twin mattress / box spring. There is about a 2-3 inch gap on either sides of the mattress. So the box of the bed is both too wide and the length of the bed is too short. Whoever designed this thing gets a failing mark. The assembly process is pretty middle of the road, however, the hardware is decent.

This bed is very sturdy, great bed for the cost.

The bed looks and feels cheap when opening it it has hot glue stains from the box I’m guessing wouldn’t order again.
