Unbelievable relief for chronic sesamoiditis
I was diagnosed with sesamoiditis in my left foot after a series of orthopedic issues in my left leg. I used to wear boots all the time, but they put too much stress on my big toe joint and caused too much pain. I switched to ropers (lower-heeled boots) to alleviate the stress on that joint. It helped, but I still felt this terrible burning/shocking pain at that joint periodically throughout the day if I stepped incorrectly. As a result, I have generally been wearing tennis shoes whenever possible, since they provide so much cushion for the metatarsals. At the recommendation of an orthopedist, I have also inserted steel insoles in some of my shoes to reduce the amount of flexion at the joint. I got tired of this, and started digging and digging on the internet. I found this product recommended on some podiatry website. It was less than $20 bucks, so I decided to give it a shot.... I am three days in and have worn my boots all day each of those three days. I've had zero instances of acute shocking or burning pain (or any pain at all, for that matter). As a result, I feel that my gait is getting back to normal, as I feel more confident taking full steps with my left leg. I honestly cannot believe how effective these pads have been for alleviating this chronic, highly irritating issue. I very rarely review products and am generally a critical person. This is the best $20 I have spent in a very long time. The product doesn't come with instructions on how to insert them properly in your shoe. I went to the internet for that and found some helpful videos. Understand that you don't want your big toe joint to be sitting on top of the meat of the pad. I learned the pad should go slightly behind the joint, closer to the arch. You will feel the pad putting some pressure just behind that joint. I bought two more. Will probably buy more than that.

Relieved the Morton's Neuroma pain
I have Morton's Neuroma and am an active runner, considering running a half-marathon this fall. I found the more often and farther I run, the more regularly my neuroma acts up, to the point where it is a daily problem now, with pretty intense pain shooting up my toe when I walk. I went online to see what was out there for relief and stumbled across some positive reviews on several options so I bought a variety of them. I found I liked them all, including this one, the Pedag 142, but I do prefer this one because it is more a full-foot pad vs the smaller pads I tried. I don't secure the pad in any one pair of shoes, I switch the pad out and put it in whatever shoes I'm wearing that day and I find it stays in place, although I do agree with someone else's review about it would be nice if it were a little wider. It relieves the pressure on the nerve so I don't have that shooting pain anymore. I found this to work just fine. There are two reasons I didn't give this 5 stars: 1.) I went to the foot doctor and found out I also have high arches and he recommended insoles (Powerstep Pinnacle) and what a huge difference they made in my overall foot comfort - most of the time all I need is the Powerstep insoles so I find I don't need to use this Pedag 142 in my shoes anymore, although they are great to leave in my slippers. 2.) It is a little thicker than the others I bought so I can't wear them with every pair of shoes I have - but then again, the same is true with the Powerstep insoles. I would recommend these because they definately helped. However, if you have high arches along with Morton's Neuroma I would try the Powerstep Pinnacle insoles first (be sure to remove the original insoles in your shoes). That is really what I found to be the biggest help - but shop around! Prices are all over the place.

Doesn’t stay in place
It moves around when walking. Needs a bigger adhesive area to stay in play and do it’s job properly.

I needed arch support, this not have
Found out I ordered the wrong type of Pedag insert---have bought many over the years. This "comfort" one is thinner, had no arch support and not fit in shoe as well as my other same sized Pedags. Would probably be ok if you did not need any type of arch support, however, it felt really uncomfortable for me.

Completely alleviated metatarsalgia pain
I had severe pain from metatarsalgia that affected me when walking or resting, brutal! These inserts were the solution to the problem for me. They do not offer arch or general support, just provide some light heal cushioning and the metatarsal pad for the ball of the foot. The other, stiffer pads with more support in the heal/arch area did not work well for me. These were the PERFECT size and density of support in that area to complete alleviate my pain. It is the difference between being immobile from pain and no pain at all, truly miraculous. They are very durable, I've two pairs, one has literally lasted me years of daily use. I've never had a metatarsal pad hold up so well, and I've experimented with quite a few. They are leather and will get wet/absorb moisture and need a drying out time if you are using them in wet/sweaty environment, so I have a pair for my yard work/workout shoes and a pair I use for the others. The slim design works well in all kinds of shoes for me. I use them interchangeably for sneakers, boots, canvas flat, dress shoes, etc. The small adhesive pad on the bottom does not work well for adhering firmly to shoes. I have not had a problem with this as I don't wear open healed shoes so they stay in place well without it, but if you want to wear with open healed shoes you may need to get more adhesive for the bottom to hold in place. I wish I could order each foot separately as I find one foot needs a larger pad/size and one smaller to be comfortable, but since these are pretty affordable I just order two pairs the have the perfect support for each foot.

Queste solette le ho acquistate già in precedenza e sono utili. Ne ho inserite in ogni paio di scarpa.
