This scent is really nice for summer leaning into autumn. Leaves are browning and the last charcoal embers from grilling are burning up. It sets a really nice transitional scent between seasons that give a last farewell to the past season and invite the next. I would mainly recommend this scent for summer-to-fall, or fall-to-winter. The wick burns not too bright and not too dim, good for soft ambient lighting. The glass cup doesn't get hot, even after burning for hours, so that's good for safely repositioning the candle. My only qualm is that this scent may only be good for small rooms, not whole living rooms or households. I keep this on my desk while on my computer to enjoy the scent to its fullest.

I wanted to try this set of candles because I was curious about the Embers & Sandalwood scent and liked the look of the deep blue wax. Aesthetically, they’re really nice! I feel that they look pretty modern and a little masculine. They’re perfect for my office or as a low-key decor piece. The jars are small, but you get two. It ended up working well for me. I placed one on each side of my desk and it balanced the setup nicely.The scent itself is subtle. It’s pleasant, but doesn’t fill the room the way I expected. If you’re sensitive to smells or have allergies, this might be a good one to get because it’s not very scented. The notes are earthy and slightly woody, but it doesn’t quite match the richness of something like a luxury sandalwood candle. For a background scent, they’re perfectly fine. If you put them on your desk at face-level you can smell them a little better.I noticed they tend to tunnel when burned, which means a lot of wax gets wasted unless you use a candle warmer. That’s how I ended up using them and it really helped bring out the scent more evenly. I was hoping they wouldn’t tunnel, but they’re cheap candles so I guess I should have expected it.In terms of value for money, I think it’s really good considering you get two candles. The glass cup quality is what you’d expect from Glade. The glass jars have a cute shape, a decent amount of wax, and a safe burn. I also like that they’re made without phthalates or formaldehyde, so they feel like a safer choice for indoor use, especially with animals in the house. They’re not the most powerful or impressive candle I’ve tried, but they’re still a nice, visually appealing option that fits smaller spaces well.

Candles arrived in good condition, smelling just as good as I expected. These Glade Ember and Sandalwood candles are kind of musky, but in a good way. They are a nice shade of dark green, and they burn very cleanly. I will save one for the fall, because this reminds me of nighttime in the fall. I don't know why, but it feels earthy. The scent carries a decent distance. Single-wick candles that burn for several hours, I like the consistency in this brand. You know what you're getting, and the price is good. These would make a good gift, too, like in a basket of homey or self-care items.

No real complaints other than the scent is light for a larger room. Pleasant, though.

Glade 1-Wick Scented Candle Jar (Embers & Sandalwood) has a soft and musky smell. There's a slight hint of pine smell. I like it. This is a good quality candle that lasts a long while. For being a small candle it has good burn time. This will last a month if you burn for an hour or two a day. Good value for the money.

This candle smells really good out of the box. It has a mellow woody sweetness that's relaxing without being overpowering. But once lit, the scent doesn’t travel far, at least not in my open kitchen/living space. It's one of those candles you need to sit near to enjoy.The biggest issue is the way it burns. Mine tunneled badly after the first couple uses, even with a trimmed wick and a solid 3-hour first burn. It just wouldn’t melt to the edges. Now I have to finish it on a wax warmer, which is a little annoying for something meant to be a candle.Size-wise, it's a medium single-wick with what looks like a soy blend wax. I’d say the burn quality just isn’t up to par for the price point or size. The scent stays consistent, though, and doesn’t turn weird over time like some do. So if you use a warmer anyway, it might still be worth it for the scent alone. Otherwise, kind of a miss.

These arrived with a very odd texture on top, but I immediately realized it was due to the heat outside and not the manufacturer. These smell great before and during burning. The wick works well and burns bright. Even my husband loves the woodsy scent of this candle.I like that this came with two candles. It is a good value to be able to get them both. The glass and packaging is sturdy and holds up well with shipping.The wax burns well. It seems to melt evenly and fully. The wax is not filled as high as other candles I have gotten. The burn time is moderate.
