Good suit, slimming
I am 5.5', 125 lbs, 34B/28/38, wear a size 6 in clothing and usually wear a size 8 in swimsuits. After reading the reviews here that this suit has a tighter fit, decided to try size 10/36 and 12/38 at a local store and thought both were comfortable but the 12/38 was a bit loose around the stomach. So, decided to buy 10/36 and I'm happy with this size (I do laps for around 2 hrs at a local gym). It has a snug fit and I definitely look slim in it .... no sagging or bunching anywhere.I think this a good suit for me, doesn't hold much water too. I feel I'm swimmimg much better in this suit compared to my older one. The older one sagged and I felt a drag when I swam in it. This suit doesn't have a padded bra ( I think someone had posted this question) but it has a double lining, so the coverage is adequate and it holds everything well. I also like that one can choose from different colors. I would buy again and try a different color next time.UPDATE: After 3 months of usage, the suit has become quite loose, so I'm going to order another, one size down ie., 8/34. I have lost a little weight, so I don't know if the suit has become loose because of that or it's due to usage (I have used it almost daily at the pool). Also, the black color has faded and turned silver. I still love the suit, so I'm going to order another in a different color :)UPDATE: Got size 8/34, weight now is 122 lbs. It was a little difficult to get it on at first but once I did, it fits perfectly and no discomfort while swimming.

A BATHING SUIT FOR SERIOUS SWIMMERS
This is the Speedo Powerflex bathing suit, a chlorine resistant “racing suit”, meant to be used by women who swim regularly and for extended periods of time. If used every day to swim laps for over one hour, the way I do, it should last 5 to 10 times longer than the average bathing suit, according to the seller. I have not calculated the exact amount of time, but I realized the difference after buying my very first Speedo Powerflex about three years ago. Without doubt, this suit lasts much longer than any other that I have used in the past. If worn regularly every day, other bathing suits tend to sag after one to two months from the date of purchase. After that it is a fast downhill, then the need for a new suit. The Speedo Powerflex will easily last from six months to a year.Because of the thin nature of the fabric (80% nylon, the rest lycra and spandex), and the tight fit, this bathing suit also promises to make swimming easier and faster by reducing the friction from the water. The sizes are small, as per seller‘s warning. I normally use 4 and 6 for most of my clothes, but need a 10 for the Speedo Powerflex. Even when using the larger sizes, getting into the suit is not easy. It is actually like putting on a pair of tight jeans: a struggle getting into it. A great look, once inside. As shown in the pictures, the suit comes predominantly in black with various decorative colors, most popular being probably blue and purple. Green is also pretty. For a bathing suit designed for active wear, I believe that the darker colors are more attractive. The price is very reasonable, especially if we consider the length of time that the suit will last. The original price used to be in the range of $ 76.00, which is what I paid for my previous suits. At the Amazon.com price - which starts around $ 46.00 and seems to vary depending on the decorative color - this item is a real bargain.

Wear out in 1 month! Disappointment. Don't buy
I would never recommend this product to anyone. Terrible! The suit was completely destroyed after 1 month. I swim 3-4 times per week, nothing special, local gym with moderate level of chlorine in the water. Fabric stretched and rubbed, suit is out of shape, even color became very pale, grey instead of black. Very disappointed. Don't want to believe that's his is Speedo product!

Great price, love this suit
Great price, love this suit, been swimming for 9 years in this design (of course they wear out about every 3-4 months after swimming 1 hour 3X a week in highly chlorinated pool). I've tried other brands and styles... but this suit is best for really swimming. The best part about this suit is that you can swim fast laps without water catching at the chest and dragging you down. This is a workout suit. Other "beach" suits are too low in the chest and catch water. Your arms are free to swim. The company mailed them quickly. There is no bra shelf in this suit (which I like because the bras don't fit me and only create another layer), so some may feel the thinness is too revealing. Also, it fits tight so you can swim .... it is for swimmers. I wear an 8 Tall in clothing (6 foot tall), I order a 14 in this suit to stretch over my torso. (So I guess you can say it runs small). If you want a suit that lasts and lasts... order a different suit in nylon, but you won't be able to stretch and swim easily, nylon is restricting). This suit is for working out.

Fantastic suit! Competitive swimmers, ignore the other sizing reviews.
As a former competitive swimmer, I'm accustomed to Speedo products. Regardless, I ordered a size larger than I normally do, due to the reviews listed here and had to return it. I wear a size 8-10 in regular clothing. A 40 swimsuit was ridiculous on me. I needed a 36 for a comfortable practice suit-NOT competition tightness.Ladies, proper fitment of a Speedo swimsuit may not be what you are used to. The legs are cut extremely high-a couple inches away from your natural waist. It does not follow your hipline. Hike up that suit! I promise you wont fall out or have a super wedgie.Once you get the legs in the proper place, the rest of the suit should feel snug. That's a good fit for a practice suit. A competitive suit will be 2 sizes smaller than snug. ;) As soon as the suit gets wet, it will stretch. It will also stretch with frequent wear. If you order a suit that feels comfortably loose while dry, it will become saggy and loose in the pool. This will cause drag and discomfort as you feel the suit swish around your body while swimming. This is a great suit with an extremely flattering design. After gaining a few pounds since my competitive days, I will say that this suit makes me look fantastic. Any extra "pooches" around the waist are rendered invisible by the dark background, while attention is drawn to the lighter areas, visually slimming you down.
