These LED colorful lights are a beautiful addition to my garden, and since Christmas is coming soon, they bring a festive spirit to my garden at night.

This set of lights provides a vibrant purple glow and a fun, unique bulb shape. They were very easy to set up, and the solar panel works great, charging them fully for the night. They're bright and durable, making them perfect for outdoor holiday decorating. The purchase feels right, but it's not a major bargain.

These solar powered Halloween lights have LED bulbs of faceted colored plastic on a black wire. The small solar panel comes with a tab on the back to fits into a slot on the top portion of the two-part stake. It can be angled to customize to your area's best sun exposure. The two parts of the stake fit together snugly, and hold the panel securely by tightening a small nut. The housing for the batteries feels like sturdy plastic, and according to the description, it's weather tight. There are two buttons on the back for on/off, and mode to select how you want the lights to function. These buttons have to be pressed pretty firmly down to engage the switch. When the lights are operating, they are quite bright. Being LEDs, I would expect no less.There's 70 inches/5.8 feet (1.7m) of wire between the solar panel and the first bulb, 3.75 inches (9.5cm) between the bulbs, 185 inches/15.4 feet (4.7m) of lighted wire, for a total length of 255 inches/21.25 feet (6.47m). The description in the listing is off, or there are variances in manufacturing. Be aware of this if you need *exact* lengths. These cannot be connected end to end like you can with conventional electric lights.Test 1: Sunny day chargeAfter 8.5 hours of sunshine, the lights had about 10 hours of functioning time, but the last hour was quite dim. They came on when it got dark, as designed.Test 2: Rainy day chargeAfter 8 hours of clouds and rain, the lights only functioned for a couple of hours.Test 3: Sunporch chargeAfter 8+ hours of charge on a sunny day on a covered sunporch, the results were the worse than the rainy day. The lights did come on, but they were extremely dim and the charge didn't last long.The different modes are fine; I'll likely end up using a flashing one to extend the battery life (steady on consuming the most power over a charge). Since these are designed for outdoor use, I don't know why the wire color is black and not brown or green, but no one asked me. They won't be visible at night in the bush they'll be in so it doesn't matter. I'm quite pleased with these, overall, and think it's going to make Halloween a little brighter this year.

I ended up ordering a second set because one strand looked so good that I wanted to carry the look across our whole front fence.
