One of the greatest adhesives in the world
JB Weld is the best epoxy I have ever used. I use it all the time for repairs, some that are downright strange. Example: I don't function very well in the AM before coffee, so I accidentally bumped the glass coffee pot for my coffee maker. Make a small crack on the outside of the glass, just above the bottom. So I thought, lets test this: so I applied a small square of JB Weld over the small crack (on the outside of the decanter) about the size of a postage stamp. Let it cure overnight. That was a week ago, and it's doing just fine. I can't believe it...it adhered to the glass and is holding like a crazy man. Saved myself $30+ on a new decanter. I repaired one of my wife's favorite earrings when the small ring that held the dangle broke on one side. Tiny amount of JB on it, let it sit overnight, and gave to her next day. She re-fell in love with me. :) One of the properties it has that I really like is how smooth and easy it is to mix and apply. Many epoxies have thick consistency and are difficult to mix and apply smoothly. JB goes on like warm butter, but dries hard as metal. I'm always using it for something and it's never failed me yet.

JB Weld. produces a very adhesive bond. between many materials
JB Weld. produces a very adhesive bond. between many materials as steel, glass, porcelain, etc. A number of hours are required for the. setup of the adhesive.. JB KwikWeld is a different product that sets up much more quickly, like 15 minutes, but. is not as strong or hard an adhesive bond.

Another great JB Weld product.
This stuff lives up to it's name, strong and hard as steel. I love the quick drying and the fact that you don't have to wait 48 hours to let it cure before you have you broken Item fixed. it take about 5 minutes to set up and a fast cure time of only about 10 hours depending on the heat and humidaty in the room. can take up to 24 hours for full cure. another great product from JB Weld.

Slow cure, JB Weld epoxy that can take the heat of a car engine (not the exhaust system heat)
I was a diesel mechanic for 18 years. This particular slow curing epoxy is well known for the ability to repair things and save time and money. However, to get it to work you need to theurgy clean the area and degrees it with something like brake cleaner, so it is totally dry. Next is follow the directions for the curing time before putting a load or pressure on the repair. Also, the curing time changes with temperature. Cold temps take longer. I don't live in an area where it snows so I don't know at what temp it would not cure or take some really long time to cure. I just know that the longer you give it to cure the more likely the repair will work. One story from work that sticks out in my mind. Engines have stamped Sheetmetal core/freeze plugs on them and eventually the leak. much more so with the plated steel ones than the brass ones but I have seen even the brass ones have electrolysis eat through them or hole they go in rust through. In this case on a large forklift engine right at the rear of the cylinder head was a large freeze plug leaking. You could not just install a new one because the transmission bell housing went up and covered half of it.To do the fix properly the cylinder head would have had to come off or the bell housing backed off enough to do that. The vehicle had to be at work making money for the company and just paying me to do it would in of itself be a substantial cost. So, I got in there and cleaned the area out, got it all degreased with brake cleaner and in a few staged filled the whole are in with JG Weld steel filled epoxy and let it cure overnight and the next morning it was ready to go. Years ago when I changed jobs that vehicle was still working with no leak in the repaired area. The caution is simply that how you do the job is extremely important. Don't expect the JB Weld to stick to oily or greasy surfaces or surfaces where there is loos crud, rust and so on. You have to do your part to make it work.

Great for repairs
J-B Weld 8281 is a real lifesaver! I used it to fix a cracked plastic part getting a lot of stress and it held up incredibly well. Very easy to work with - you just mix the two parts, apply, and let it cure (it takes a day). Great for anyone needing a tough, reliable repair.
