HISDERNPlaid Checkered Tie Handkerchief Woven Classic Formal Men's Necktie & Pocket Square Set

Like many, I was curious whether or not this "100% silk" tie was actually silk. The best and easiest way to determine this is the burn test, and I conducted it on the pocket square. The result is in the attached photo.As you can see, it is NOT silk. Rather than burn and turn into ash, the material melted into black beads. The smell was distinctly plastic. The material is not silk, and the description is false.

It's very subtle, but when you inspect it closely, the patterns pop, and sometimes, depending on the angle of lighting, the patterns seem to "shift" or change a little. That's just me, but it definitely looks very vibrant and sharp in bright light.tying knots with this tie is effortless. It's great for casual knots as well as more formal or power knots such as the full Windsor. Dimpling is also very doable with this tie. Although it's not complete silk, it's very easy to tie.I didn't get to use the pocket square, as I like to use different colors when I dress up to express my creativity.Overall, the set is great, and for this color and pattern, although the solid version of this color is the essential not necessarily this one, it's a great addition to any gentleman's wardrobe. Extremely satisfied.

I never learned how to make a pocket square but I was running a little behind schedule and couldn't miss the train so I did whatever felt natural and my pocket square came out like that! It looks fantastic and I absolutely approve of this brand and tie. The design on the tie is JUST as nice as it looks in the pictures and feels slick too. Nothing but appraisel here folks, you want criticism maybe this color might not be for everyone, but it compliments my black blazer great, just like I planned.

This tie looks great with my black suit! The tie is really only dark gray and not black as advertised, but I love it. The design is for someone who wants to look distinguished and professional but not flashy or gaudy. Highly recommend this color. My husband bought this set for my dad as a gift and my dad (he is 73 and rather dapper) loved this set, he even wore the handkerchief that came with it, which was surprising to me; he received many compliments on the royal color so I know he will wear this often now :) It came in a nice packaging also. My dad is a little over 6ft so it's a perfect length also for how ties should hang on a man in a suit. Keeping this as spare 'go to gift' for any other male friends/family members, very beautiful.

It looked great on my husband! Both the tie and the handkerchief were as described. The material was durable, somewhat thick (not cheap) with a high tread count. The seams of the tie were well stitched. It was easy to tie (not to stiff or too flimsy).The dark blue color was a true navy blue. It did not leave marks or bleed color on my hands or my husband's white shirt. I was pleased with the quality and will definitely order from this company again.

Let's make no mistake, this is an inexpensive tie. The silk and lining are thin. It doesn't look substantial. It also comes in a plastic bag rather than a box. I don't use pocket squares but this one seems very stiff.That said, it is a good inexpensive tie. It is well made and it hangs well. If you need a tie for a specific occasion (I needed a black tie for a funeral) or if you just want a broad assortment of ties, I would recommend this. I would also have been happy with this as a father's day gift when my kids were younger (although the lack of a box might be a problem).

Bought on the review of others that have posted.Must say they are good. I ordered 4 from different price range to compare, all are good quality.Working in Law you feel the need to set a standard and I normally pay more ( a lot more!) for this kind of tie.Purchased 2 for the office ( clients) and 2 for court (the none flamboyant/hypnotic lol).Goes nice with a 2pc suit's and really enhance the 3pc suit's I wear.So I'm interested to see how they fair over the next few months and if all is well... order more.

I usually shop in specialist stores, but this time tried my luck here and I can definitely say that I am impressed with the quantity of this product!It arrived quickly, in a nice packaging. The fabric itself is smooth, shiny and colour-rich. Silk fabric is shiny and playful on the light and this makes the set look like it’s bought from top shop specialising in these kind of products (looks expensive).Highly recommended, value for money and I am in love with my new tie, thank you!

Bought as a birthday present. Looks like a good quality smart tie. Good price. Giving it 4 stars as it would have been nicer if the box was smarter, especially to give as a gift. Think I will take it out of its box and put it in a nicer box before giving it as a present.

Wow, a tie that was exactly what I was looking for for my partner for a wedding, made to a very high standard, modern design and a traditional style. Even better than it looks online.he has it for a wedding but will also use it for important meetings etc. Really pleased with this purchase x

This is a good quality tie and handkerchief set for the money which arrives in a letterbox friendly pack. The tie is a generous length and well sewn/finished as is the handkerchief making it ideal for work etc. In summary, good quality and value. Recommended.
