A Great Game With Some Issues Here & There
AC3 on the Wii U is one of those games you wished played better because it would've made it perfect, but you don't care anyway because the game's still way too good to be complaining over. Especially if you're a Wii U owner? Yeah you need to be rejoicing over any solid attempt by a 3rd party to bring us a huge franchise, & that's exactly what this is. Let's hop into it.The Good & Bad About The World Map:This game is HUGE. Like...I'm not even kidding lol. If you ever owned a GameCube & remember first setting sail across the seas in Wind Waker, it's like that, but 10 times bigger, & instead of sailing there you're hopping from roof to roof running for your life. The map is ridiculous, but the environment in the game is so alive, there's never a dull moment. You won't mind running miles to search for treasure or reach your destination as there's always something to do along the way. Hunting, Pickpocketing, delivering mail, assassination contracts, fighting off the red coats, & just exploring in general. The game makes you want to climb everything, jump over every gap, & the best part of it all is that you can. There's ALWAYS a way to get somewhere. I've owned every single Nintendo console & I have never once experienced this magnitude of freedom on a Nintendo system. I'm quite pleased.I've encountered one problem with the world in this game though. It's buggy at certain areas. Now don't get me wrong, there are tons of people who've played the game without running into a single glitch, but if you're like me & have that "Zelda" mentality & explore literally everywhere, walking to every corner, you WILL find them. Sometimes during missions, you can get stuck between invisible walls. However the game makes up for it as it auto saves all the time so you can easily start over & the game will boot back to the exact mission, no ground lost. This has only happened to me in a mission once. & I redid the mission 4 times walking to the same spot, & was stuck every time, so yeah there's bugs but it's easily avoidable once you find them. It's happened to me only once on the world map as well. Had to reset, but it's only been once. Stuck between a rock lol.The Good & Bad About The Graphics:This game looks great, no doubt. PS3 & 360 Owners probably won't be impressed, but if you came here from the Wii, you're in for a real treat. The lighting of the Sun, Moon & their shadows is beautiful. Everything is well detailed, especially the character you control. When you equip new weapons etc, you actually see them on you after ward, in a way that physically makes sense lol. Every action causes your clothes, hair, equipment etc to sway..again...in a way that physically makes sense. Every other NPC in the game looks more bland than you, but are still well detailed for mindless drones lol. In my opinion, the normal gameplay graphics are better than the cut scenes & even runs smoother for some reason. Kind of strange, but much appreciated. I wouldn't want it the other way around lol. Since we're on the topic of how the graphics look & flow, we should get into frame rate (for those of you who understand it). This game obviously struggles to run at 30FPS lol. No sugar coating it. You can see the slow downs in cut scenes & sometimes when you're in the run. At a flush 30FPS the game runs pretty sweet & would've been awesome if they could've just managed to get it there at a constant, but from what I gather this is a common issue with AC games on every platform (console I mean, not PC lol). The dips below 30 aren't big enough to ever make you have a problem with it, but you WILL visually recognize it every time it happens. It's just something you'll get used to.The Good & Bad About The Story:Honestly, there really isn't anything bad about the story. It has a very good story, but if you've never played any other AC games before, you won't be able to enjoy this as much. This IS part 3 after all...so you obviously missed a whole lot if you've only owned Nintendo systems thus far. I've played AC on the PSP before this, so I wasn't as badly off as some, but still...I wasn't in a good place lol. You can fully appreciate the story without any prior knowledge of the older games, but there ARE gonna be a few things that make you go "what are we talking about here" lol. Thankfully, objectives are always clear during missions. Even if you don't understand WHY you have to do something, you won't be lost trying to figure out where & how to do it, which again is much appreciated. I won't give away story elements, but if you're into conspiracy theories, free masons, illuminati, cover ups & that kinda stuff, you'll be the couch for a while with this game. The Good & Bad About The Gameplay / Controls:IMO, I have yet to see any flaws in the controls & gameplay. The controls are great. It takes a little getting used to, but once you master it you have a blast with the gamepad. I personally like displaying my entire HUD on the gamepad so that the only thing on my TV screen is the game. No bars, no gauges, no nothing. It may sound weird, hearing me talk about looking down at your gamepad every time you wanna view the map etc. but actually to even my own surprise, it feels VERY normal. Even if it doesn't for you, it won't be long before it does. If you ever owned a DS or 3DS, you'll be able to jump right into this set up. The gamepad is so big, you actually like...see everything on it without having to pause your game & turn your eyes hard south. I can't explain it lol, but it's more than workable. The controls are tight & responsive. The battle system is great. It reminds me of the battle system in Muramasa: The Demon Blade. Let me explain. You'll hear a bunch of untalented, boring players who can't use their imagination, saying it's repetitive & gets old fast. Saying you do the same things over & over. The type of people who button mash their lives away because they know they can succeed that way, without having to think too hard about doing anything else.Well let me tell you, they couldn't be more wrong. This game offers various combos, counters & parries, with different attacks in low profile, high profile, low profile (horse), high profile (horse), stealth & aerial. Let me it explain. You're surrounded by red coats. You notice you're in a tight space surrounded by buildings. This is what those other guys I mentioned would do: "button mash, button mash, take hits, take hits, life bar's going down, doesn't care, assume's they'll make it with just enough life remaining to survive, button mash some more, bulldoze their way through the crowd". That's their approach to everything. Me on the other hand. I might block, counter one guy, roll around his back & take him hostage, his friends fire & I use him as a shield, he's dead now, I toss him to the ground & run up onto one of the near by houses & dive off with an aerial attack stabbing two of 'em in the neck, now I charge full speed & tackle the other to the ground, & finish him. You get the idea. The game gives you the tools you need to be creative, but it's up to you whether or not you want to paint a pretty picture & have fun, or just do enough to get by. Kinda like life if you think about it. These games are getting more realistic. The free running mechanics are a blast. I won't get into it too much, but all I'll say is...have fun running over, jumping over, & climbing over literally almost any & everything you can feast your eyes upon lol.All in all this is an amazing game & Wii U owners need to go out & buy this. We need to support this type of thing before we end up with a Nintendo only console. While that IS workable, it'd be a sad waste to miss games like these. Please support Ubisoft & buy their games. They're the only huge 3rd party dev right now that's CONSTANTLY putting out quality games on the system. We don't want to lose them. Get this game even if you'll never play it lol, before the only thing we start getting from them is Just Dance 5,6,7,8 & 9 lol. I give this game a 9/10 man.

Decent Overall But...
I want to give this game 3.5 stars but its a good game overall so 4 stars overall and 3 stars for the fun factor. The game is not bad at all but just couldn't keep me interested even though it has a good story. The game looks fantastic on the Wii U maybe even better than the other versions. You can move the entire HUD to the gamepad and have a more cinematic experience. So visually the game is very nice. The controls are good for the most part but in some cases they just don't respond well. For example when free running the character will start to climb barrels/railings even if you did not intend to. Also sometimes in combat with multiple people you can end up messing up your target and intended move/counter. It isn't that annoying but it does get in the way sometimes when you are trying to do something important. Basically the controls should have been more refined and just feel more solid. The game also has naval combat and even though it is nice I feel it could have been refined as well. The story is actually good and the cinematic scenes look very nice. You meet a lot of historical characters and its pretty cool being in 1700's Boston and New York. As a virtual history ride the game delivers and since I kind of like history it was cool to relive it virtually. Now the main problem I had with this game is that first of all it was way too cinematic. Even though I praised the cinematic scenes they felt excessive in my opinion. Sometimes it felt like I was just watching a movie that allowed me to interact within some scenes. I complain about this with many of today's games...I want to play not watch. My biggest complaint is that the game is not that FUN. I'm sorry but I did not enjoy this game as much as I wanted to. I mean it was fun in some parts but just not enough to keep me interested from start to finish.Still overall the game was a good virtual history ride. I finished the game but doubt I will play it again even though there are some things I didn't do...I just wish it was a bit more fun.

Rent Before Spending Big Bucks!
I got this game for cheap at only $40. I have never played any of the other Assassin's Creed games. Jumping right into the story will certainly make you confused and not sure what is happening. There is probably a deep and meaningful plot here, but unless you played the other games you won't be able to enjoy it that much. Get use to watching cut scenes if you play this game because there is a lot of them and most of the cut scenes are full dialog only. However, the voice acting and writing is top notch so don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort put into them, but there is a very large amount of it. There is such large amount of them that it can take away from the fun factor of the game. The graphics are excellent as well is the sound. The controls are hit and miss. During more intense gameplay I find myself just hitting all the buttons because it's more affective then actually trying. Combat controls suffer the most in my opinion. Fighting enemies can be a circus act of chaos. Expect to get hit often and become frustrated. Running through the town is fun itself and fairly fluent. That part of the game is done very well. Personally, I would either get the game cheap or rent it first and see if you like the gameplay. I don't regret getting it for only $40 but I wouldn't pay much more.

No se detallaba de forma clara que el disco es sistema ntsc, y tampoco entiendo como puede venderse en amazon España un software que no es compatible con las máquinas de aquí...
